Prayagraj: UP Energy Minister A.K. Sharma Orders Faster Development Works, Warns Against Negligence

Minister Directs Officials to Complete Electricity and Urban Development Projects on Time

Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Urban Development and Energy, A.K. Sharma, has instructed officials to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply in Prayagraj and expedite all pending urban development projects.

He cautioned that negligence or unnecessary delays in public works would not be tolerated and warned that officials found responsible for lapses would face strict action.

The minister issued these directions while reviewing the performance of the Energy Department, Urban Development Department, Development Authority, and other agencies during a high-level meeting held at the Circuit House in Prayagraj.

He stressed that public welfare projects must be treated as a priority and completed within the prescribed timeline.

Focus on Reliable Power Supply and Immediate Resolution of Complaints

During the review meeting, A.K. Sharma emphasised that residents should receive a continuous and dependable electricity supply.

He instructed officials to respond promptly to consumer complaints and ensure that all electricity-related grievances are resolved without delay.

The minister also reviewed the progress of ongoing power infrastructure projects and directed engineers to accelerate work so that every scheme is completed before the scheduled deadline.

He said quality should not be compromised while maintaining the pace of development.

Instructions to Speed Up Sewer and Drainage Projects

Reviewing the progress of projects undertaken by the Prayagraj Development Authority, the minister instructed officials to speed up all ongoing development works and ensure they are completed within the stipulated time.

He paid special attention to the progress of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects and ordered officials to remove all obstacles affecting their execution.

Sharma said the city’s drainage and sewer network should be strengthened to improve sanitation and prevent waterlogging during the monsoon.

He also directed officials to clean all drains before the rainy season so that residents do not face difficulties caused by overflowing drains or stagnant water.

Special Arrangements for Religious and Public Places

The minister instructed officials to give priority to improving civic facilities around Hanuman Mandir and other important religious sites.

He also ordered that all streetlights installed in the Mela area be inspected regularly and that additional lighting arrangements be made wherever required to ensure public safety.

Sharma stressed that beautification work and maintenance of public infrastructure should continue without interruption.

He also instructed officials to improve the appearance of electric poles and remove unnecessary hanging wires wherever possible.

The review meeting was attended by Mayor Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani, Prayagraj North MLA Harshvardhan Bajpai, Mayor-in-Council Member Surendra Chaudhary, BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, MLC Gopal Sharma, BJP District President  (Yamunapar) Rajesh Shukla, Municipal Commissioner Sai Teja, Chief Engineer R.K. Agrawal, Chief Engineer Surendra Pratap Singh, Chief Engineer V.N. Pandey, Chief Engineer J.N. Ashok Kumar, Secretary PDA Devendra Singh, and Municipal Corporation Finance Controller Vivek Kumar Shukla, along with several other senior officers.

प्रयागराज: ऊर्जा मंत्री ए.के. शर्मा ने विकास कार्यों में तेजी लाने के दिए निर्देश, लापरवाही पर सख्त कार्रवाई की चेतावनी

ऊर्जा और नगर विकास परियोजनाओं को समय पर पूरा करने के निर्देश

उत्तर प्रदेश के नगर विकास एवं ऊर्जा मंत्री ए.के. शर्मा ने प्रयागराज में निर्बाध बिजली आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने और शहर में चल रही सभी विकास परियोजनाओं को निर्धारित समय सीमा के भीतर पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। उन्होंने स्पष्ट कहा कि जनहित से जुड़े कार्यों में किसी भी प्रकार की लापरवाही या अनावश्यक देरी स्वीकार नहीं की जाएगी। यदि किसी अधिकारी या कर्मचारी की लापरवाही सामने आती है, तो उसके विरुद्ध कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

प्रयागराज के सर्किट हाउस में आयोजित उच्चस्तरीय समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान मंत्री ने ऊर्जा विभाग, नगर विकास विभाग, विकास प्राधिकरण और अन्य संबंधित एजेंसियों के कार्यों की विस्तार से समीक्षा की। उन्होंने अधिकारियों से कहा कि जनता की सुविधाओं से जुड़े सभी कार्य सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता पर पूरे किए जाएं।

बेहतर बिजली आपूर्ति और शिकायतों के त्वरित निस्तारण पर जोर

बैठक में ए.के. शर्मा ने कहा कि शहरवासियों को बिना बाधा के गुणवत्तापूर्ण बिजली उपलब्ध कराना सरकार की प्राथमिक जिम्मेदारी है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि उपभोक्ताओं की शिकायतों का तत्काल समाधान किया जाए और बिजली आपूर्ति से जुड़ी समस्याओं का शीघ्र निस्तारण सुनिश्चित किया जाए।

उन्होंने विद्युत अवसंरचना से संबंधित सभी निर्माण कार्यों की प्रगति की भी समीक्षा की और अभियंताओं से कहा कि सभी परियोजनाओं को तय समय से पहले पूरा करने का प्रयास किया जाए। साथ ही गुणवत्ता से किसी प्रकार का समझौता न करने पर भी जोर दिया।

सीवरेज और नाला परियोजनाओं में तेजी लाने के निर्देश

मंत्री ने प्रयागराज विकास प्राधिकरण द्वारा संचालित परियोजनाओं की समीक्षा करते हुए सभी लंबित विकास कार्यों में तेजी लाने और उन्हें समयबद्ध ढंग से पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए।

उन्होंने विशेष रूप से सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (एसटीपी) परियोजनाओं की प्रगति की समीक्षा की और कहा कि इनके कार्यों में आने वाली सभी बाधाओं को तत्काल दूर किया जाए। उन्होंने शहर की सीवर और जल निकासी व्यवस्था को मजबूत बनाने पर बल दिया ताकि बारिश के दौरान जलभराव जैसी समस्याओं से नागरिकों को राहत मिल सके।

इसके साथ ही उन्होंने मानसून से पहले सभी नालों की व्यापक सफाई सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए ताकि वर्षा के दौरान लोगों को किसी प्रकार की परेशानी का सामना न करना पड़े।

धार्मिक स्थलों और मेला क्षेत्र की सुविधाओं पर विशेष ध्यान

ए.के. शर्मा ने हनुमान मंदिर और अन्य प्रमुख धार्मिक स्थलों के आसपास नागरिक सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने मेला क्षेत्र में स्थापित सभी स्ट्रीट लाइटों की नियमित जांच करने तथा जहां आवश्यकता हो वहां अतिरिक्त प्रकाश व्यवस्था उपलब्ध कराने को कहा, ताकि श्रद्धालुओं और आम लोगों को सुरक्षित वातावरण मिल सके।

उन्होंने यह भी निर्देश दिया कि शहर के सौंदर्यीकरण से जुड़े कार्य लगातार जारी रहें। बिजली के खंभों की स्थिति में सुधार किया जाए और जहां संभव हो वहां अनावश्यक लटकते तारों को व्यवस्थित किया जाए।
