Ram Mandir Donation Theft Case: 23 Employees Quit After Salary Dispute, Police Recover Cash, Jewellery and Car From Accused

Fresh developments have emerged in the Ram Mandir donation theft case in Ayodhya, with the controversy now extending beyond the criminal investigation.
Alongside the police probe, discontent has surfaced among workers associated with the donation collection system, leading to the resignation of 23 employees over an alleged reduction in their wages.
Employees connected with the donation receipt counters claimed that their monthly earnings had been reduced after the theft incident.
According to them, the salary cut came despite no direct involvement in the case, leaving many workers dissatisfied.
One employee associated with the receipt counters said the workforce handling donations at the temple had already been reduced following the incident.
He alleged that several staff members were removed and, in the latest development, workers at the counters were also informed about a revision in their salaries.
The employees stated that they worked in shifts from 9 am to 6 pm and were earlier paid a monthly salary of ₹14,755.
However, after the changes, nearly ₹5,000 was deducted from their wages. They also claimed that the share they used to receive from the pagar (service charges/tips) system had either been reduced substantially or discontinued, making it difficult for them to continue.
According to the workers, they submitted a collective resignation after completing their duty on Wednesday.
The management reportedly accepted the resignations of all 23 employees. The staff members have also urged the temple administration to reconsider the decision and recruit new personnel only after resolving the wage issue.
Police recover valuables during investigation.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the Ram Mandir donation theft has made significant progress.
Ayodhya Police detained the accused for nearly 40 hours and questioned them extensively, leading to several important revelations.
Acting on the information provided by the suspects, investigators recovered a car, cash,h and jewellery allegedly linked to the stolen donation amount.
Police officials said the recoveries were made from different locations identified by the accused during interrogation.
SOP under review after theft case
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has also initiated a review of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) followed during the counting and handling of donations.
The Trust is examining whether any procedural lapses contributed to the incident and is expected to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to prevent similar cases in the future.

अयोध्या के श्रीराम मंदिर चढ़ावा चोरी प्रकरण में अब नया मोड़ सामने आया है। पुलिस की जांच के साथ-साथ मंदिर की चढ़ावा व्यवस्था से जुड़े कर्मचारियों में भी नाराज़गी बढ़ गई है। वेतन में कटौती का आरोप लगाते हुए 23 कर्मचारियों ने सामूहिक रूप से इस्तीफा दे दिया है।
रसीद काउंटर पर कार्यरत कर्मचारियों का कहना है कि चोरी की घटना के बाद उनके मासिक वेतन में कमी कर दी गई। उनका आरोप है कि किसी भी प्रकार की प्रत्यक्ष संलिप्तता न होने के बावजूद उन्हें आर्थिक नुकसान उठाना पड़ा, जिससे कर्मचारियों में असंतोष फैल गया।
रसीद काउंटर से जुड़े एक कर्मचारी ने बताया कि घटना के बाद पहले ही चढ़ावा व्यवस्था में कार्यरत कई लोगों को हटाया जा चुका था। इसके बाद अब काउंटर कर्मचारियों को भी संशोधित वेतन की जानकारी दी गई, जिसे अधिकांश कर्मचारियों ने अस्वीकार्य बताया।
कर्मचारियों के अनुसार उनकी ड्यूटी सुबह 9 बजे से शाम 6 बजे तक रहती थी और उन्हें पहले 14,755 रुपये प्रतिमाह वेतन मिलता था।
बाद में लगभग 5,000 रुपये की कटौती कर दी गई। उनका यह भी कहना है कि पहले मिलने वाला पगार अथवा सेवा शुल्क का हिस्सा भी काफी कम कर दिया गया या बंद कर दिया गया, जिससे आर्थिक स्थिति प्रभावित हुई।
कर्मचारियों ने बताया कि बुधवार को अपनी ड्यूटी पूरी करने के बाद उन्होंने सामूहिक रूप से इस्तीफा सौंप दिया। प्रबंधन ने सभी 23 कर्मचारियों के त्यागपत्र स्वीकार कर लिए। कर्मचारियों ने मंदिर प्रशासन से वेतन संबंधी विवाद का समाधान करने तथा उसके बाद ही नई भर्ती प्रक्रिया शुरू करने की मांग की है।
जांच में मिली बड़ी सफलता, आरोपियों के ठिकानों से बरामदगी
उधर, राम मंदिर चढ़ावा चोरी मामले की जांच में पुलिस को महत्वपूर्ण सफलता मिली है। आरोपियों से करीब 40 घंटे तक लगातार पूछताछ की गई, जिसके दौरान कई अहम जानकारियां सामने आईं।
पूछताछ में मिले सुरागों के आधार पर पुलिस ने आरोपियों की निशानदेही पर एक कार, नकदी और आभूषण बरामद किए हैं। अधिकारियों के अनुसार अलग-अलग स्थानों पर की गई कार्रवाई में चोरी से जुड़ी कई महत्वपूर्ण वस्तुएं बरामद हुई हैं।
एसओपी की हो रही समीक्षा
श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र ट्रस्ट ने इस घटना के बाद चढ़ावा संग्रह और गणना की पूरी प्रक्रिया की समीक्षा शुरू कर दी है। ट्रस्ट यह जांच रहा है कि कहीं संचालन प्रणाली में कोई कमी तो नहीं रही। भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति रोकने के लिए मानक कार्यप्रणाली (SOP) को और अधिक सुदृढ़ बनाने की तैयारी की जा रही है.
