Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Raj Babbar, Suniel Shetty Express Relief as Bollywood Security Tightens
The shooting outside a Juhu football ground has alarmed the film fraternity, prompting warnings against fake online reports and renewed security measures around celebrity homes.
The incident occurred on Sunday, October 18, when three men allegedly fired at Tiger’s car as he was leaving a football ground in the Juhu area.
The actor reportedly suffered minor abrasions, while his driver and a passer-by, identified as vlogger Umesh Chauhan, sustained bullet injuries and were taken to hospital.
Police subsequently arrested three suspects in Kota, Rajasthan, in connection with the case.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Babbar said his longstanding friendship with Tiger’s father, actor Jackie Shroff, made the episode deeply personal.
He said he was grateful that Tiger had survived the attack and made it clear that he did not wish to turn the incident into a political issue.
Babbar’s remarks reflected the anxiety felt by colleagues and friends following an incident that could have had far more serious consequences.
Suniel Shetty flags wider security concerns
Actor Suniel Shetty also expressed alarm, saying the attack demonstrated how vulnerable even well-known personalities could be. He voiced relief that Tiger had escaped serious injury and said the actor’s driver was recovering.
Shetty’s reaction underlined a concern extending beyond one celebrity: if an incident of this nature could occur around a prominent actor, other public figures and their families could also face risks.
His comments added to calls within the entertainment industry for greater attention to personal security.
Tiger’s team warns against fabricated online content
As speculation about the shooting spread online, Tiger Shroff’s team issued a public warning against the circulation of invented claims, AI-generated videos and unauthorised messages attributed to the actor.
The team clarified that Tiger had not made any official statement or released videos about the incident, nor had he authorised anyone to communicate developments on his behalf.
Media organisations and social media accounts were urged to confirm information before sharing it.
The statement also warned that legal action could follow if fabricated material continued to be circulated in the actor’s name.
The warning highlights the additional challenge celebrities face when a serious incident becomes the subject of unverified posts and misleading digital content.
Security measures stepped up around celebrity residences
The shooting has also renewed attention to the protection arrangements surrounding Bollywood stars and their homes.
Security has reportedly been strengthened outside Salman Khan’s residence, while bullet-resistant glass shields are being installed at Akshay Kumar’s home in Juhu.
Police deployment and patrols have also been increased around the residences of actor Aamir Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
The developments have raised questions about whether existing arrangements are adequate to protect high-profile personalities amid concerns over threats and targeted attacks.
For the film industry, the immediate relief that Tiger escaped serious harm has been accompanied by a more unsettling question: how can actors, their families and people around them be better protected from similar incidents in the future?
