US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s visit to the company’s Jamnagar complex on Wednesday highlighted this strategic interest, as he met Reliance Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani and reviewed the group’s industrial and technology investments.
Rubio’s visit followed remarks in which he characterised India as a global refining powerhouse and identified Reliance as a significant participant in the international energy market.
