Trump Claims Iran’s Military Leadership Crippled, Says Mojtaba Khamenei ‘90% Gone’ Amid Escalating US-Iran Conflict
Washington: US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s senior military command has been virtually destroyed, asserting that Mojtaba Khamenei, son and successor of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is “90% gone.”
His remarks came as tensions between Washington and Tehran intensified following a fresh round of military exchanges over the weekend and the US decision to restore what it described as an “Iranian blockade” in the Strait of Hormuz, a move that prompted a strong reaction from Tehran.
During an interview with Fox News, Trump said the joint military campaign carried out by the United States and Israel had severely weakened Iran’s armed forces.
According to him, the country’s naval and air capabilities had been effectively neutralised, while its air defence network had also been dismantled.
He further claimed that the operation had left Iran’s military establishment incapable of mounting an effective response.
Expanding on his remarks, the US President asserted that Iran’s top military commanders had been eliminated during the offensive.
Trump said the country’s most senior military leaders were no longer alive and referred to the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei before alleging that Mojtaba Khamenei, long regarded as his father’s political heir, had also suffered devastating injuries, describing him as “90% gone.”
Independent verification of the full extent of Trump’s claims has not been publicly established.

साथ ही अमेरिका ने होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य में तथाकथित “ईरानी नाकेबंदी” दोबारा लागू करने की घोषणा की है, जिस पर तेहरान ने तीखी प्रतिक्रिया दी है।
फॉक्स न्यूज को दिए एक साक्षात्कार में ट्रंप ने कहा कि अमेरिका और इज़राइल की संयुक्त सैन्य कार्रवाई ने ईरान की सैन्य क्षमता को गंभीर रूप से कमजोर कर दिया है।
उनके अनुसार ईरान की नौसेना और वायुसेना लगभग निष्क्रिय हो चुकी हैं, जबकि उसकी वायु रक्षा प्रणाली भी पूरी तरह ध्वस्त कर दी गई है। ट्रंप ने दावा किया कि इन हमलों के बाद ईरान प्रभावी सैन्य जवाब देने की स्थिति में नहीं रह गया है।
अपने बयान को आगे बढ़ाते हुए अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि इस अभियान के दौरान ईरान के शीर्ष सैन्य कमांडरों का भी सफाया हो गया।
उन्होंने कहा कि देश के प्रमुख सैन्य नेता अब जीवित नहीं हैं और दिवंगत अली खामेनेई का उल्लेख करते हुए आरोप लगाया कि लंबे समय से उनके उत्तराधिकारी माने जा रहे मोजतबा खामेनेई भी गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए हैं तथा “90 प्रतिशत खत्म” हो चुके हैं।
