UP Govt Plans Over 1.5 Lakh Jobs This Year; Yogi Adityanath Highlights Transparent Recruitment Drive
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is set to generate more than 1.5 lakh government jobs in the current financial year, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Sunday.
He made this declaration while distributing appointment letters to 357 junior drug analysts and 252 dental health professionals at Lok Bhavan.
The Chief Minister emphasized that over the past nine years, the state has provided more than 9 lakh government jobs, calling it a record for conducting large-scale recruitment processes in a smooth and transparent manner.
He reiterated that the ongoing financial year will see another major push in employment, with multiple recruitment agencies playing key roles.
According to him, the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission is expected to carry out over 32,000 recruitments this year.
The Education Service Selection Commission will complete the hiring of thousands of teachers, while the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has been assigned the task of filling around 15,000 posts.
Additionally, examinations have already been conducted for approximately 45,000 positions in the police and home guard departments, and recruitment for another 45,000 posts is currently underway.
Highlighting concerns around fairness, the Chief Minister pointed out that strict laws have been introduced to prevent irregularities in recruitment.
These include provisions for life imprisonment and confiscation of property in cases of malpractice or fraud.
He noted that of the 9 lakh jobs provided so far, over 2.2 lakh have been in the police department alone, contributing to improved law and order and making the state more attractive for investment.
Reflecting on past practices, he criticized earlier systems, alleging that recruitment processes were once influenced by nepotism and corruption.
He stressed that eliminating dishonest practices among politicians and officials must begin with self-accountability.
Update on RO/ARO Recruitment:
Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced that recruitment for the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) posts will resume after a two-year gap.
In response to an RTI query, the commission confirmed that requisitions have already been received for 92 RO posts and 267 ARO posts, totaling 359 vacancies, with additional requisitions expected.
Previously, the commission had conducted the RO/ARO examination on July 25, 2025, in which around 42.29% of registered candidates appeared.
