Enforcenent directorate has filed a prosecution complaint at the special court in Lucknow against Shaista Parveen wife of slain gangster Atiq Ahmad.
Shaista has been accused of running extortion racket in this complaint.
The accused wife of gangster Atiq Ahmad was on the run since long and police has not been able to nab her.
ED had started investigating the case following FIR lodged by CBI against Shaista Parveen under various sections.
Allegations aginst her include cheating, forgery and illegal grabbing of property.
Later on cases of extortion, murder, land grabbing and forgery, money laundering were lodged and investigations were carried out.
The slain don’s family members, relatives were also brought within the ambit if investigation.
It was found that Atiq Ahmad and his family members had been involved in the purchase of movable and immovable property through ill-gotten money. So many properties had been purchsed in the name of other persons.
It nay be mentioned that Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf were gunned down by three youngmen who suddenly appeared while the duo were being taken by the police inside Colvin hospital in Allahabad for medical check up last year.
