General secretary high court Bar Association, Allahabad, Vikrant Pandey has urged UP CM, Yogi Aditya Nath to increase remuneration to counsels working for the state government

In a letter to the general secretary advocates pleading cases of the state government have said, remunerations being given to them for pleading state government cases have not been increased since 2016.

There has been no increase in the money that they receive from the state government even though the price index has increased a lot in the past eight years.

The advocates have also pointed out they have been sustaining life with whatever money they are paid by the government but now things have become difficult for them as they are also debarred from carrying out private practice.

Copies of the letter have also been forwarded to Advocate General UP and Principal Secretary Law.
