Shiva Murder Case: Model Shraddha Dubey, Sister and Driver Sent to Judicial Custody
LUCKNOW: Model Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Danish, accused in the murder case involving businessman Shiva, were sent to judicial custody until October 31 after being produced before a court in Lucknow on Thursday.
The three were arrested on Tuesday from a flat in the Betulrodi area of Nagpur, Maharashtra, following an alleged 11-day period on the run.
A police team brought the accused to Hazratganj police station at around 9.45 am. They were questioned for several hours at the surveillance office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Arpit Vijayvargiya.
Later in the evening, all three underwent medical examinations at the Civil Hospital before being presented before the court of the in-charge Chief Judicial Magistrate, Balwant Bharti.
The court ordered their judicial custody until October 31.
Investigators questioned the trio on several aspects of the case, including Shiva’s death, the alleged conspiracy, and the people who may have helped them while they were absconding.
According to police sources, around 120 questions were put to the accused.
During questioning, Shraddha reportedly repeated the claims she had made in a video released earlier.
She denied involvement in the crime and maintained that Shiva had died by jumping from the flat following an argument between them on October 9. Police are examining her version as part of the ongoing investigation.
When investigators asked her to identify those who had allegedly assisted the group during their disappearance, Shraddha reportedly remained silent.
Police are said to be examining the possible role of several people in her circle, although their involvement has not been established.
Mobile phones under forensic examination
Police reportedly recovered two mobile phones, including an iPhone, and Rs 25,000 in cash from Shraddha. Investigators found several numbers they considered suspicious and are attempting to establish the identities of the people associated with them.
According to the police account, neither of the two recovered phones contained a SIM card. Shraddha was allegedly using WhatsApp through Wi-Fi and a mobile hotspot.
Investigators suspect that several WhatsApp conversations exchanged after October 9 were deleted by Shraddha and Danish.
Both devices have been sent to a forensic laboratory for data recovery and further examination.
Investigators are also searching for the older mobile phones that Shraddha and her sister reportedly lost somewhere in Nepal.
Police believe the missing devices could contain information relevant to the case, though their contents and significance remain unverified.
Court rejects defence plea
The defence lawyer moved an application before the in-charge Chief Judicial Magistrate seeking refusal of judicial remand for Shraddha, Rashmi and Danish.
The court rejected the plea and ordered the three accused to be sent to jail in judicial custody.
DCP (Central) Arpit Vijayvargiya said the accused had been brought to Lucknow on transit remand and that questioning had yielded several leads.
He confirmed that they were subsequently produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that several people suspected of being close to Shraddha were seen around the police surveillance office during the questioning.
Some were allegedly moving around in the attire of lawyers. Their identities and any possible role in assisting the accused remain matters for verification by investigators.
Police are continuing efforts to trace the missing phones and retrieve deleted digital communications.
The recovered data could help investigators establish the sequence of events, verify the accused’s statements, ts and determine whether others played a role in the alleged conspiracy.

लखनऊ: कारोबारी शिवा की हत्या के मामले में आरोपी मॉडल श्रद्धा दुबे, उसकी बहन रश्मि दुबे और ड्राइवर दानिश को गुरुवार को अदालत में पेश किया गया। सुनवाई के बाद तीनों को 31 अक्टूबर तक न्यायिक हिरासत में जेल भेजने का आदेश दिया गया।
पुलिस ने तीनों को मंगलवार को महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर स्थित बेतलारोड़ी इलाके के एक फ्लैट से गिरफ्तार किया था। वे कथित तौर पर 11 दिनों से फरार थे।
पुलिस टीम गुरुवार सुबह करीब 9:45 बजे तीनों आरोपियों को लेकर हजरतगंज कोतवाली पहुंची। इसके बाद उन्हें डीसीपी मध्य अर्पित विजयवर्गीय के सर्विलांस कार्यालय में रखकर करीब साढ़े छह घंटे तक पूछताछ की गई।
पुलिस ने शिवा की मौत की परिस्थितियों, कथित साजिश और फरारी के दौरान आरोपियों को मदद पहुंचाने वाले लोगों के बारे में जानकारी जुटाने की कोशिश की।
शाम को सिविल अस्पताल में तीनों का चिकित्सकीय परीक्षण कराया गया, जिसके बाद उन्हें प्रभारी मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट बलवंत भारती की अदालत में पेश किया गया।
पूछताछ में श्रद्धा ने खुद को बताया निर्दोष
जांच से जुड़े सूत्रों के मुताबिक, पुलिस ने तीनों आरोपियों से अलग-अलग पहलुओं पर करीब 120 सवाल किए। इनमें शिवा की मौत, कथित साजिश की रूपरेखा और फरारी के दौरान संपर्क में रहे लोगों की भूमिका जैसे मुद्दे शामिल थे।
पूछताछ के दौरान श्रद्धा ने कथित तौर पर पहले जारी किए गए अपने वीडियो में कही गई बातों को दोहराया। उसने खुद को निर्दोष बताते हुए दावा किया कि 9 अक्टूबर को विवाद होने के बाद शिवा ने फ्लैट से छलांग लगाकर अपनी जान दे दी थी। पुलिस उसके दावे की अन्य साक्ष्यों के आधार पर जांच कर रही है।
फरारी के दौरान किसने मदद की, इस सवाल पर श्रद्धा ने कथित तौर पर चुप्पी साध ली। हालांकि, पुलिस उन लोगों के बारे में जानकारी जुटा रही है, जिनके आरोपियों के संपर्क में रहने की आशंका है। फिलहाल किसी अन्य व्यक्ति की भूमिका को लेकर अंतिम निष्कर्ष सामने नहीं आया है।
मोबाइल फोन से डिलीट चैट बरामद करने की कोशिश
पुलिस के मुताबिक, श्रद्धा के पास से एक आईफोन समेत दो मोबाइल फोन और 25 हजार रुपये नकद बरामद हुए। जांचकर्ताओं को इन फोन में कुछ ऐसे नंबर मिले हैं, जिनकी पहचान और आरोपियों से उनके संबंधों की पड़ताल की जा रही है।
पुलिस का कहना है कि बरामद दोनों मोबाइल फोन में सिम कार्ड नहीं मिले। आरोप है कि श्रद्धा वाई-फाई और हॉटस्पॉट के जरिए व्हाट्सएप इस्तेमाल कर रही थी।
जांच में यह भी सामने आया है कि 9 अक्टूबर के बाद की कुछ व्हाट्सएप चैट श्रद्धा और ड्राइवर दानिश ने डिलीट कर दी थीं। इन संदेशों को दोबारा हासिल करने के लिए दोनों फोन फोरेंसिक लैब में भेजे गए हैं।
इसके अलावा, पुलिस श्रद्धा और उसकी बहन के उन पुराने मोबाइल फोन की भी तलाश कर रही है, जिनके नेपाल में कहीं गुम हो जाने की बात कही गई है। जांचकर्ताओं को आशंका है कि इन उपकरणों में मामले से जुड़ी अहम जानकारियां हो सकती हैं।
हालांकि, फोन बरामद होने और डेटा की जांच के बाद ही उनकी वास्तविक उपयोगिता स्पष्ट हो सकेगी।
बचाव पक्ष की अर्जी अदालत ने की खारिज
आरोपियों के वकील ने प्रभारी मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट की अदालत में अर्जी दाखिल कर श्रद्धा दुबे, रश्मि दुबे और दानिश की न्यायिक रिमांड मंजूर न करने का अनुरोध किया था। अदालत ने इस मांग को खारिज कर दिया और तीनों को न्यायिक हिरासत में जेल भेजने का आदेश दिया।
डीसीपी मध्य अर्पित विजयवर्गीय के अनुसार, तीनों आरोपियों को ट्रांजिट रिमांड पर नागपुर से लखनऊ लाया गया था। उनसे पूछताछ के दौरान कई जानकारियां मिली हैं। पूछताछ पूरी होने के बाद उन्हें अदालत में पेश किया गया, जहां से जेल भेजने का आदेश हुआ।
इस बीच, पुलिस कार्यालय के आसपास श्रद्धा के कुछ कथित मददगारों की मौजूदगी को लेकर भी चर्चा है।
दावा किया जा रहा है कि पूछताछ के दौरान कुछ लोग वकीलों के पहनावे में कार्यालय के अंदर और आसपास दिखाई दिए। हालांकि, उनकी पहचान और आरोपियों की मदद में उनकी संभावित भूमिका की आधिकारिक पुष्टि होना अभी बाकी है।
पुलिस अब मोबाइल फोन से डिलीट किए गए संदेशों को रिकवर करने, फरारी के दौरान आरोपियों के संपर्कों का पता लगाने और शिवा की मौत से जुड़े घटनाक्रम की कड़ियां जोड़ने में जुटी है। डिजिटल साक्ष्यों की जांच से मामले में नए तथ्य सामने आने की संभावना है।
