Priyanka gifted bag with 1984 written on it by BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Aparajita Sarangi on Friday presented a bag with “1984” written in bold red letters to Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The gesture comes shortly after Vadra carried bags to Parliament with messages supporting Palestine and Bangladesh.
Sarangi, the BJP MP from Bhubaneswar, handed the bag to Vadra in the Parliament corridor. Vadra accepted the bag from Sarangi while walking and continued on her way.
The bag bore the words “1984 riots,” Sarangi confirmed, suggesting that this is another issue Vadra should address, given her recent habit of making political statements using tote bags.
Earlier this week, the Wayanad MP displayed a bag in Parliament on Monday with “Palestine” written on it, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
On Tuesday, Vadra carried another handbag to Parliament, this time inscribed with the message “Bangladesh Ke Hindu Aur Isaiyon Ke Saath Khade Ho” (stand with the Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh).
