Advocate and Nine-Year-Old Girl Killed in Dumper Collision in Prayagraj, Driver Flees
Prayagraj: A tragic road accident in the Karchhana police station area of Prayagraj claimed the lives of an advocate and a nine-year-old girl late on Saturday night after a speeding dumper rammed into two motorcycles.
Following the collision, the dumper driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Police have seized the truck and launched a search for the absconding driver.
According to police, Advocate Om Shivam, son of Bal Kishan and a resident of Bhuda, Karchhana, was returning home on his motorcycle when the dumper hit his vehicle. The impact left him critically injured.
After striking the advocate’s motorcycle, the dumper continued ahead and crashed into another motorcycle near the temple close to the Karchhana police station at around 11 pm.
The second bike was being ridden by Vijay Patel, alias Kallu, a resident of Pachdevra. His nine-year-old daughter Roshni fell onto the road after the collision, while the dumper moved ahead after crushing her.
Vijay Patel had gone to his in-laws’ village for a family function and was returning home with his daughter when the accident occurred. Police shifted Advocate Om Shivam and Roshni to SRN Hospital, where doctors declared both of them dead.
Police said that Roshni was the youngest among two brothers and two sisters. ACP Karchhana Sunil Kumar Singh said legal proceedings have been initiated, the dumper has been taken into custody, and efforts are underway to arrest the driver who fled after the accident.
प्रयागराज के करछना थाना क्षेत्र में शनिवार देर रात हुए दर्दनाक सड़क हादसे में एक अधिवक्ता और नौ वर्षीय बालिका की मौत हो गई। तेज रफ्तार डंपर ने दो मोटरसाइकिलों को टक्कर मार दी। दुर्घटना के बाद चालक वाहन छोड़कर फरार हो गया। पुलिस ने डंपर को कब्जे में लेकर उसकी तलाश शुरू कर दी है।
पुलिस के अनुसार करछना के भूड़ा निवासी अधिवक्ता ओम शिवम, जो बाल किशन के पुत्र थे, शनिवार रात मोटरसाइकिल से अपने घर लौट रहे थे। इसी दौरान तेज रफ्तार डंपर ने उनकी बाइक को टक्कर मार दी, जिससे वे गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए।
अधिवक्ता की बाइक को टक्कर मारने के बाद डंपर करछना थाने के समीप स्थित मंदिर के पास रात करीब 11 बजे दूसरी मोटरसाइकिल से भी जा भिड़ा। इस बाइक पर पचदेवरा निवासी विजय पटेल उर्फ कल्लू अपनी नौ वर्षीय बेटी रोशनी के साथ सवार थे। टक्कर लगते ही रोशनी सड़क पर गिर गई और डंपर उसे कुचलते हुए आगे निकल गया।
बताया गया कि विजय पटेल अपनी बेटी को लेकर अपने ननिहाल में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम से लौट रहे थे, तभी यह हादसा हो गया। पुलिस ने अधिवक्ता ओम शिवम और बालिका रोशनी को उपचार के लिए एसआरएन अस्पताल भेजा, जहां चिकित्सकों ने दोनों को मृत घोषित कर दिया।
पुलिस के अनुसार रोशनी दो भाइयों और दो बहनों में सबसे छोटी थी। एसीपी करछना सुनील कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि मामले में आवश्यक कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। डंपर को कब्जे में ले लिया गया है और फरार चालक की तलाश जारी है।
