The voice that defined generations will be heard one last time on the big screen. Asha Bhosle’s final recorded film song as a playback singer is set to release on what would have been her 93rd birth anniversary on September 8, 2026.

Titled ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan’, the track was recorded in late 2023, when the legendary singer was in her nineties—a testament to her enduring artistry and passion for music.

The song will feature in the upcoming drama-comedy ‘Om Ka Hari’, directed by Harish Vyas and produced by First Ray Films.

The film, a father-son relationship drama, stars Anshuman Jha, Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan, and Ayesha Kapur in pivotal roles.

At its heart, it explores the generational divide between a father and son—a story about love, conflict, and the courage to say what often remains unsaid.

The song is described as a heartfelt homage to life itself—celebrating the joy of living, the beauty of love, and the importance of expressing what we feel while we can.

Bhosle, who passed away in April 2026 at the age of 92, recorded over 12,000 songs across a career spanning more than seven decades.

Her voice graced countless classics, including ‘Dum Maro Dum’, ‘Piya Tu Ab To Aaja’, ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko’, and ‘Yeh Mera Dil’.

With ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan’, Bhosle’s final recorded film song will serve as a poignant reminder of a voice that defined Indian cinema—a voice that, as Anshuman Jha put it, will forever remain “in spirit, in her music, and in every life her voice continues to touch.”
