Akhilesh Yadav Targets BJP Over Ram Temple Donation Row, SP Sends Legal Notice to Nishikant Dubey
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday intensified his attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the ruling party’s politics centred on religion and financial interests had reached a dead end.
Referring to the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged irregularities in donations made at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Yadav claimed that even BJP supporters had started questioning the party’s priorities.
Aiming for the BJP leadership, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister alleged that recent developments had convinced many people that money had become more important than faith for leaders of the ruling party.
According to him, the controversy involving temple offerings had exposed what he described as the BJP’s real political character.
Akhilesh Yadav further claimed that with what he termed the end of the BJP’s “politics of religion,” the party would increasingly shift its focus towards “the politics of money.”
He also alleged that corruption and rising inflation would continue to trouble the public under the present government.
In a sharp political swipe, the SP chief concluded his post on the social media platform X with the slogan, “Jo BJP ka saathi, woh Ramghati”, alleging that those supporting the BJP were acting against the ideals associated with Lord Ram.
Meanwhile, the political controversy has taken a legal turn.
The Samajwadi Party has served a legal notice on BJP Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey over a social media post in which he allegedly linked Ramshankar alias Tinnu Yadav, one of the eight accused arrested in the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation theft case, with Akhilesh Yadav.
Confirming the development, Krishna Kanhaiya Pal, president of the Samajwadi Adhivakta Sabha, said on Tuesday that a legal notice had been issued to Nishikant Dubey alleging defamation, character assassination and publication of content intended to malign SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s public image.
According to the notice, Dubey’s social media post allegedly sought to create hostility against the Samajwadi Party and its national president by circulating defamatory material.
The notice claimed that the post was intended to spread hatred against the party and damage Akhilesh Yadav’s reputation.
The Samajwadi Party has demanded that Nishikant Dubey issue a public apology within two weeks and publish it in favour of Akhilesh Yadav and the Samajwadi Party.
The notice states that failure to do so could invite further legal proceedings in accordance with the law.

लखनऊ: समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने मंगलवार को भारतीय जनता पार्टी पर तीखा हमला बोलते हुए आरोप लगाया कि धर्म और धन की राजनीति पर आधारित भाजपा की रणनीति अब अपने अंतिम दौर में पहुंच चुकी है।
अयोध्या के राम मंदिर में चढ़ावे से जुड़ी कथित अनियमितताओं का उल्लेख करते हुए उन्होंने दावा किया कि अब भाजपा के समर्थकों को भी यह महसूस होने लगा है कि पार्टी के कुछ नेताओं के लिए धर्म से अधिक महत्व धन का हो गया है।
पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राम मंदिर चढ़ावा विवाद ने भाजपा की राजनीति की वास्तविक तस्वीर जनता के सामने ला दी है। उनका आरोप था कि जिन मुद्दों पर भाजपा वर्षों तक राजनीति करती रही, अब उन्हीं मामलों ने उसके दावों पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं और लोगों का भरोसा कमजोर होने लगा है।
अखिलेश यादव ने यह भी दावा किया कि धर्म आधारित राजनीति कमजोर पड़ने के बाद भाजपा अब पूरी तरह धन की राजनीति पर अधिक जोर देगी। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि मौजूदा सरकार के दौरान भ्रष्टाचार और महंगाई में लगातार वृद्धि होती रहेगी, जिसका सीधा असर आम जनता पर पड़ेगा।
सोशल मीडिया मंच एक्स पर अपनी टिप्पणी के अंत में अखिलेश यादव ने नारा दिया, “जो बीजेपी का साथी, वो रामघाती।” इस नारे के जरिए उन्होंने भाजपा समर्थकों पर भगवान श्रीराम के आदर्शों के विपरीत कार्य करने का आरोप लगाया।
इसी बीच यह विवाद कानूनी मोड़ भी ले चुका है। समाजवादी पार्टी ने भाजपा के लोकसभा सांसद निशिकांत दुबे को कानूनी नोटिस भेजा है।
आरोप है कि उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया पर एक पोस्ट साझा कर अयोध्या राम मंदिर चढ़ावा चोरी मामले में गिरफ्तार आठ आरोपियों में शामिल रामशंकर उर्फ टिन्नू यादव का संबंध अखिलेश यादव से जोड़ने का प्रयास किया।
समाजवादी अधिवक्ता सभा के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष कृष्ण कन्हैया पाल ने मंगलवार को बताया कि भाजपा सांसद के खिलाफ अखिलेश यादव की छवि धूमिल करने, मानहानि करने तथा दुर्भावनापूर्ण सामग्री प्रसारित करने के आरोपों के आधार पर विधिक नोटिस भेजा गया है।
नोटिस में आरोप लगाया गया है कि निशिकांत दुबे द्वारा साझा की गई सोशल मीडिया सामग्री का उद्देश्य समाजवादी पार्टी और उसके राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष के प्रति लोगों में दुर्भावना और वैमनस्य पैदा करना था।
इसमें कहा गया है कि इस प्रकार की पोस्ट से पार्टी की छवि को नुकसान पहुंचाने और राजनीतिक विद्वेष फैलाने का प्रयास किया गया।
समाजवादी पार्टी ने नोटिस के माध्यम से मांग की है कि निशिकांत दुबे दो सप्ताह के भीतर अखिलेश यादव और समाजवादी पार्टी के पक्ष में सार्वजनिक रूप से माफी प्रकाशित करें।
नोटिस में चेतावनी दी गई है कि निर्धारित अवधि में जवाब या माफी नहीं मिलने पर उनके खिलाफ आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
