Prayagraj: Surprise Inspection at SRN Hospital Finds Services Largely Satisfactory, X-Ray Machines Under Repair
Prayagraj: A surprise inspection carried out at Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital in Prayagraj on Wednesday found the overall healthcare services and patient facilities to be satisfactory, although officials took note of a temporary disruption in X-ray services.
The inspection was conducted at around 10 am by Additional City Magistrate (IV) Juhi Prasad, who reviewed the functioning of several departments and assessed the quality of medical services being provided to patients.
During the inspection, attendance registers of doctors and paramedical staff posted in departments including Dental Surgery, Radiology, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Medicine, Gynaecology, Gastroenterology, ENT, TB Chest, and PMSSY were examined.
Most doctors, nursing personnel, and supporting staff were found present at their respective duty stations, indicating satisfactory attendance across the hospital.
While reviewing diagnostic services, the inspecting officer found that the hospital’s X-ray machines had remained non-functional for the past two days.
Hospital authorities informed her that repair work was underway and the machines were expected to become operational later in the day.
A detailed inspection of the SRN Trauma Centre revealed that 75 attendants were waiting for X-ray services, while nine patients were present for CT scan examinations.
Officials also reviewed the facilities being provided to admitted patients and found the arrangements satisfactory. The Trauma Triage unit had admitted four fresh patients on Wednesday morning.
The inspection team also visited the MRU Laboratory, Post-Operative Ward, and Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) of the Gastroenterology Department.
Hospital officials informed the inspecting officer that all major diagnostic equipment, including CT Scan, ultrasound,d and MRI machines, was functioning normally and that patients were not facing any inconvenience regarding diagnostic investigations, except for the temporary X-ray issue.
The inspection further found uninterrupted electricity supply across the hospital premises.
Wards and corridors were clean and well maintained, while adequate seating arrangements had been provided outside different wards for attendants.
Several attendants present at the hospital were interviewed during the inspection, and they expressed satisfaction with the medical facilities and overall arrangements.
The Additional City Magistrate also reviewed the cleanliness and physical condition of various wards, corridors, washrooms, and other sections of the hospital.
Although sanitation standards were generally found to be satisfactory, a few locations were identified where repair work and additional cleaning were required.
Necessary instructions were issued to the concerned authorities to address those shortcomings at the earliest. The Orthopaedic Ward, in particular, was found to require improvement in housekeeping standards.
Parking arrangements for patients’ attendants were also assessed during the inspection.
Hospital officials informed the administration that a four-wheeler parking facility is currently operational near the old hospital building, while construction of a new parking area near the Trauma Centre has been proposed.
Parking facilities for two-wheelers are already available and functioning smoothly.
Overall, parking management for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers was found to be satisfactory.
During the inspection, no evidence suggesting the presence or involvement of middlemen or touts within the hospital premises came to light.
Officials also interacted with patients and their family members regarding drinking water facilities.
The feedback received indicated that the hospital has an adequate supply of safe drinking water, with water coolers installed near wards and other locations remaining fully functional.

प्रयागराज: प्रयागराज के स्वरूप रानी नेहरू (एसआरएन) चिकित्सालय में बुधवार को प्रशासन की ओर से किए गए औचक निरीक्षण में अस्पताल की अधिकांश व्यवस्थाएं संतोषजनक पाई गईं। हालांकि निरीक्षण के दौरान यह सामने आया कि अस्पताल की एक्स-रे मशीनें पिछले दो दिनों से बंद हैं।
अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मशीनों की मरम्मत का कार्य जारी है और उन्हें जल्द ही दोबारा चालू कर दिया जाएगा। निरीक्षण सुबह करीब 10 बजे अपर नगर मजिस्ट्रेट (चतुर्थ) जूही प्रसाद ने किया।
निरीक्षण के दौरान डेंटल सर्जरी, रेडियोलॉजी, कार्डियोलॉजी, एनेस्थीसिया, जनरल सर्जरी, आर्थोपेडिक्स, मेडिसिन, गायनिक, गैस्ट्रोएंटरोलॉजी, ईएनटी, टीबी चेस्ट तथा पीएमएसएसवाई सहित विभिन्न विभागों में तैनात चिकित्सकों और पैरामेडिकल कर्मचारियों की उपस्थिति पंजिकाओं की जांच की गई।
अधिकांश डॉक्टर, नर्सिंग स्टाफ और अन्य कर्मचारी अपनी निर्धारित ड्यूटी पर मौजूद मिले, जिससे अस्पताल की उपस्थिति व्यवस्था संतोषजनक पाई गई।
जांच के दौरान अधिकारियों को जानकारी मिली कि एक्स-रे सेवाएं पिछले दो दिनों से प्रभावित हैं। अस्पताल प्रशासन ने बताया कि तकनीकी खराबी दूर करने का कार्य अंतिम चरण में है और मशीनों को शीघ्र ही फिर से संचालित कर दिया जाएगा।
एसआरएन ट्रॉमा सेंटर के निरीक्षण में एक्स-रे कराने के लिए 75 तीमारदार और सीटी स्कैन के लिए नौ मरीज मौजूद मिले। भर्ती मरीजों को उपलब्ध कराई जा रही चिकित्सा सुविधाओं की भी समीक्षा की गई, जो संतोषजनक पाई गईं। ट्रॉमा ट्रायज यूनिट में बुधवार सुबह चार नए मरीज भर्ती किए गए थे।
निरीक्षण टीम ने गैस्ट्रोएंटरोलॉजी विभाग की एमआरयू लैब, पोस्ट ऑपरेटिव वार्ड और आईसीसीयू का भी निरीक्षण किया।
अस्पताल प्रशासन ने बताया कि सीटी स्कैन, अल्ट्रासाउंड और एमआरआई सहित सभी प्रमुख जांच मशीनें सुचारू रूप से कार्य कर रही हैं और मरीजों को जांच संबंधी किसी प्रकार की परेशानी का सामना नहीं करना पड़ रहा है। केवल एक्स-रे मशीन की तकनीकी खराबी को जल्द दूर किया जा रहा है।
अस्पताल परिसर में विद्युत आपूर्ति निर्बाध पाई गई। वार्डों और गलियारों की साफ-सफाई भी अच्छी स्थिति में मिली।
विभिन्न वार्डों के बाहर तीमारदारों के बैठने की समुचित व्यवस्था उपलब्ध थी। निरीक्षण के दौरान मौजूद मरीजों के परिजनों से बातचीत कर अस्पताल की व्यवस्थाओं की जानकारी ली गई, जिसमें अधिकांश लोगों ने उपलब्ध सुविधाओं पर संतोष व्यक्त किया।
अपर नगर मजिस्ट्रेट ने अस्पताल के विभिन्न वार्डों, गलियारों, शौचालयों और अन्य विभागों की भौतिक स्थिति का भी निरीक्षण किया।
अधिकांश स्थानों पर स्वच्छता व्यवस्था संतोषजनक मिली, हालांकि कुछ जगहों पर मरम्मत और अतिरिक्त सफाई की आवश्यकता महसूस की गई।
संबंधित अधिकारियों को तत्काल आवश्यक सुधारात्मक कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए गए। विशेष रूप से आर्थोपेडिक वार्ड में सफाई व्यवस्था अपेक्षित स्तर की नहीं पाई गई।
निरीक्षण के दौरान तीमारदारों के वाहनों की पार्किंग व्यवस्था की भी समीक्षा की गई। अस्पताल प्रशासन ने बताया कि फिलहाल पुरानी बिल्डिंग के पास चार पहिया वाहनों की पार्किंग संचालित है, जबकि ट्रॉमा सेंटर के निकट नई पार्किंग विकसित करने का प्रस्ताव तैयार किया गया है।
दोपहिया वाहनों के लिए उपलब्ध पार्किंग व्यवस्था भी सुचारू रूप से संचालित पाई गई। कुल मिलाकर अस्पताल परिसर में वाहन पार्किंग की व्यवस्था संतोषजनक रही।
निरीक्षण के दौरान अस्पताल परिसर में दलालों या बिचौलियों की सक्रियता से जुड़ा कोई मामला सामने नहीं आया। अधिकारियों ने मरीजों और उनके परिजनों से पेयजल व्यवस्था के बारे में भी जानकारी ली।
सभी ने बताया कि अस्पताल में स्वच्छ पेयजल की पर्याप्त व्यवस्था उपलब्ध है तथा वार्डों और अस्पताल परिसर में लगाए गए वाटर कूलर पूरी तरह कार्यशील अवस्था में हैं।
