Akhilesh Yadav Targets UP Government Over Education, Paper Leaks and Constitution Debate
Prayagraj: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday alleged that the Uttar Pradesh government would face a thorough investigation if his party comes to power in the state.
Addressing an interactive seminar on the topic “Current Challenges and the Role of Government” at a hotel in Civil Lines, Prayagraj, he said several families had lost their loved ones due to alleged fake encounters.
He claimed that if justice is denied through legal means, political change becomes inevitable.
Referring to the police recruitment examination paper leak, Yadav remarked that despite the government’s efforts, the incident exposed serious flaws in the system.
Speaking on the state of education, Yadav accused the government of weakening the morale of teachers.
He said educators are frequently burdened with duties unrelated to teaching, affecting the quality of classroom education.
According to him, instead of allowing teachers to focus on students, they are repeatedly assigned administrative responsibilities, which impacts the overall education system.
Criticising the government’s policies, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said people should remain alert to protect democracy and constitutional values.
He maintained that the public has repeatedly defeated those attempting to undermine democratic institutions and would continue to do so in the future.
Commenting on local body elections, Yadav claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party avoids holding panchayat elections because it fears losing public support. He alleged that people across villages are dissatisfied due to rising unemployment and inflation.
Stressing the need to strengthen education, he said students studying in government educational institutions should receive quality education comparable to international standards.
He also proposed expanding hostel facilities and establishing Oxford- and Cambridge-level universities in the future.
Expressing concern over examination paper leaks, the SP chief said the issue has become a serious challenge for students and their families.
He observed that unemployed youth are already struggling with uncertainty, and repeated paper leak incidents further erode their confidence.
Yadav urged the government to take strict action against those responsible and ensure transparent recruitment examinations.
On the issue of constitutional values, Yadav accused the BJP of attempting to alter the Constitution by using its political strength.
Referring to recent political developments, he claimed that although the party could not secure the large majority it had expected in the Lok Sabha elections, it continues to pursue the same objective.
He appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and safeguard democratic institutions.

प्रयागराज: समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने सोमवार को कहा कि यदि उत्तर प्रदेश में उनकी सरकार बनती है तो वर्तमान सरकार के कार्यकाल की विस्तृत जांच कराई जाएगी।
प्रयागराज के सिविल लाइंस स्थित एक होटल में “वर्तमान चुनौतियां और सरकार की भूमिका” विषय पर आयोजित संवादात्मक सेमिनार में उन्होंने कहा कि कथित फर्जी मुठभेड़ों में कई परिवारों ने अपने परिजनों को खोया है।
उनका कहना था कि जब न्याय कानूनी व्यवस्था से नहीं मिलता, तब राजनीतिक परिवर्तन की आवश्यकता महसूस होती है। उन्होंने पुलिस भर्ती परीक्षा के पेपर लीक का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि इस घटना ने व्यवस्था की गंभीर खामियों को उजागर किया है।
शिक्षा व्यवस्था पर अपनी बात रखते हुए अखिलेश यादव ने आरोप लगाया कि सरकार शिक्षकों का मनोबल कमजोर कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षकों से पढ़ाने के बजाय लगातार गैर-शैक्षणिक कार्य कराए जा रहे हैं, जिससे विद्यार्थियों की पढ़ाई प्रभावित हो रही है।
उनके अनुसार, शिक्षकों को प्रशासनिक जिम्मेदारियों में उलझाने के बजाय उन्हें पूरी तरह शिक्षण कार्य पर ध्यान देने का अवसर मिलना चाहिए।
सरकारी नीतियों की आलोचना करते हुए पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र और संविधान की रक्षा के लिए जनता को सजग रहना होगा। उनका कहना था कि लोकतांत्रिक संस्थाओं को कमजोर करने की कोशिश करने वालों को जनता पहले भी जवाब देती रही है और आगे भी देती रहेगी।
पंचायत चुनाव के मुद्दे पर अखिलेश यादव ने आरोप लगाया कि भारतीय जनता पार्टी चुनाव कराने से बच रही है क्योंकि उसे जनता के बीच अपना समर्थन घटने का डर है। उन्होंने कहा कि गांवों में बेरोजगारी और महंगाई को लेकर लोगों में असंतोष बढ़ रहा है।
शिक्षा के स्तर को बेहतर बनाने पर जोर देते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि सरकारी शिक्षण संस्थानों के विद्यार्थियों को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर की शिक्षा मिलनी चाहिए। उन्होंने भविष्य में छात्रावासों की संख्या बढ़ाने तथा ऑक्सफोर्ड और कैम्ब्रिज जैसे उच्चस्तरीय विश्वविद्यालय स्थापित करने की आवश्यकता भी जताई।
प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं के पेपर लीक की घटनाओं पर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए सपा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि यह विद्यार्थियों और उनके परिवारों के लिए गंभीर संकट बन चुका है।
उन्होंने कहा कि पहले से ही रोजगार की तलाश में संघर्ष कर रहे युवाओं का मनोबल ऐसी घटनाओं से और कमजोर होता है। उन्होंने सरकार से दोषियों के विरुद्ध कठोर कार्रवाई करने तथा भर्ती परीक्षाओं को पूरी तरह पारदर्शी बनाने की मांग की।
संविधान के मुद्दे पर बोलते हुए अखिलेश यादव ने आरोप लगाया कि भारतीय जनता पार्टी अपनी राजनीतिक ताकत के सहारे संविधान में बदलाव करना चाहती है।
उन्होंने कहा कि लोकसभा चुनाव में अपेक्षित बहुमत नहीं मिलने के बावजूद पार्टी अपनी मंशा से पीछे नहीं हटी है। उन्होंने लोगों से लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों और संविधान की रक्षा के लिए सतर्क रहने की अपील की।
