Ashwini Vaishnaw has been appointed the new Information and Broadcasting minister. He replaces outgoing I & B minister Anurag Thakur. In addition to the I & B ministry, Vaishnaw will also hold the portfolios of Railways, and Electronics and Information Technology.
The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, directed the allocation of portfolios among members of the Union Council of Ministers today (June 10).
