BJP Chief Nitin Nabin Breaks Silence on Ayodhya Ram Temple Donation Row, Assures Action and Reforms
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued its first official response amid allegations of theft and financial irregularities involving donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Addressing the controversy on Sunday, BJP state president Nitin Nabin assured that the government would not ignore the matter and promised appropriate action along with necessary reforms.
At the same time, he accused Opposition parties of attempting to exploit religious sentiments despite what he described as their past opposition to Lord Ram and the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
While addressing the BJP’s Shakti Kendra Sammelan in Lucknow, Nabin launched a sharp attack on the Congress, the Samajwadi Party, and the Aam Aadmi Party for questioning the RSS, the the BJP, and the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).
He claimed that the same political forces had earlier challenged the existence of Lord Ram, submitted affidavits before the Supreme Court describing Him as imaginary, and even disputed the existence of Ram Setu.
Referring to the police firing on kar sevaks during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, he said those who were once associated with such actions could not now claim to be champions ofthe Hindu faith.
According to him, expressions of concern from such leaders were nothing more than political theatrics.
Recalling his family’s association with the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Nabin shared that his father had travelled from Patna to Ayodhya as a kar sevak and was imprisoned for nearly two months.
He said such personal sacrifices reflected his family’s commitment to the cause and questioned how those with a history of suppressing devotees could challenge the BJP’s dedication to Lord Ram.
He asserted that while his party’s journey had been defined by sacrifice, its political opponents were remembered for actions that hurt Hindu sentiments.
Highlighting the significance of the Ram Temple, the BJP leader described the grand shrine as the result of decades of perseverance by workers and supporters of the BJP, RSS, and VHP.
He maintained that the temple stood as a symbol of determination and the relentless efforts of countless people associated with the movement.
Nabin further declared that his party would never allow anyone to undermine the sanctity of the temple and would be prepared to make every possible sacrifice to safeguard the faith of millions of devotees.
Continuing his criticism of the Opposition, Nabin alleged that anti-Hindu elements had repeatedly disrespected Hindu traditions, deities and religious beliefs.
Naming Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, he cautioned them against seeking political gains by invoking matters of faith.
He insisted that followers of Sanatan Dharma were fully capable of distinguishing between genuine devotion and political opportunism and would not be influenced by what he called attempts to mislead them.
अयोध्या के राम मंदिर में चढ़ावे की कथित चोरी और धन के दुरुपयोग के आरोपों के बीच भारतीय जनता पार्टी की ओर से पहली आधिकारिक प्रतिक्रिया सामने आई है। रविवार को भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष नितिन नवीन ने स्पष्ट किया कि सरकार इस पूरे मामले को गंभीरता से ले रही है और जहां भी आवश्यकता होगी, वहां कार्रवाई के साथ-साथ व्यवस्था में आवश्यक सुधार भी किए जाएंगे।
इस दौरान उन्होंने विपक्षी दलों पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि जो राजनीतिक दल कभी भगवान राम और राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन का विरोध करते रहे, वही आज आस्था की राजनीति करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।
लखनऊ में आयोजित भाजपा के शक्ति केंद्र सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए नितिन नवीन ने कांग्रेस, समाजवादी पार्टी और आम आदमी पार्टी पर राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ, भाजपा तथा विश्व हिंदू परिषद पर सवाल उठाने को लेकर तीखा प्रहार किया।
उन्होंने कहा कि यही वे दल हैं जिन्होंने कभी सर्वोच्च न्यायालय में भगवान राम के अस्तित्व पर सवाल खड़े किए, उन्हें काल्पनिक बताया और रामसेतु के अस्तित्व पर भी आपत्ति जताई।
उन्होंने राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन के दौरान कारसेवकों पर हुई गोलीबारी का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि जिन लोगों का इतिहास ऐसे फैसलों से जुड़ा रहा है, वे आज हिंदू आस्था के संरक्षक बनने का दावा नहीं कर सकते। उनके अनुसार, विपक्ष की यह चिंता केवल राजनीतिक दिखावा है।
राम जन्मभूमि आंदोलन से अपने परिवार के जुड़ाव का जिक्र करते हुए नितिन नवीन ने बताया कि उनके पिता कारसेवक के रूप में पटना से अयोध्या पहुंचे थे और उन्हें लगभग दो महीने तक जेल में रहना पड़ा था।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह त्याग उनकी पारिवारिक आस्था और समर्पण का प्रमाण है। उन्होंने सवाल उठाया कि जिन लोगों का अतीत श्रद्धालुओं के दमन से जुड़ा रहा है, वे भाजपा की धार्मिक प्रतिबद्धता पर कैसे प्रश्न उठा सकते हैं। उनके मुताबिक, भाजपा की पहचान हमेशा अपने आराध्य के लिए संघर्ष और बलिदान की रही है।
राम मंदिर के निर्माण को ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि बताते हुए भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि यह भव्य धाम भाजपा, राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ और विश्व हिंदू परिषद से जुड़े हजारों कार्यकर्ताओं के दशकों लंबे संघर्ष, समर्पण और धैर्य का परिणाम है।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह मंदिर करोड़ों श्रद्धालुओं की अटूट आस्था का प्रतीक है और इसकी गरिमा एवं पवित्रता की रक्षा के लिए पार्टी हर संभव बलिदान देने को तैयार है। उन्होंने भरोसा दिलाया कि भगवान राम से जुड़ी आस्था को किसी भी कीमत पर कमजोर नहीं होने दिया जाएगा।
अपने संबोधन के अंत में नितिन नवीन ने आरोप लगाया कि हिंदू विरोधी सोच रखने वाली शक्तियों ने समय-समय पर हिंदू धर्म, देवी-देवताओं और धार्मिक परंपराओं का अपमान किया है।
उन्होंने राहुल गांधी, अखिलेश यादव और अरविंद केजरीवाल का नाम लेते हुए कहा कि धार्मिक मुद्दों पर राजनीतिक लाभ लेने की कोशिश सफल नहीं होगी। उनका कहना था कि सनातन धर्म में विश्वास रखने वाले लोग वास्तविक श्रद्धा और राजनीतिक अवसरवाद के बीच का अंतर भलीभांति समझते हैं और उन्हें भ्रमित नहीं किया जा सकता।
