Celebration Over Son’s Birth Turns Tragic in Prayagraj, One Killed in Firing During DJ Procession
A joyful celebration in Nibiya village under Karachhana police station limits in Prayagraj took a tragic turn when a dispute during a DJ procession ended in gunfire.
What began as festivities to mark the birth of a baby boy soon turned into mourning after a young man lost his life.
The incident occurred while a DJ procession celebrating the newborn was passing through the village.
According to police, a licensed revolver allegedly carried by one of the accused was used in the firing. The bullet struck a young man, who was immediately rushed to the hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Sarvesh Yadav, a resident of Nibiya village.
He worked as a field manager in a private agricultural company and was the eldest among four brothers.
The celebratory procession was moving through the village with music, dancing, and a large gathering when the violence erupted.
Police said an argument broke out between two groups during the celebration, which escalated into a shooting.
The accused, Vijay Yadav, allegedly opened fire using his licensed revolver, fatally injuring Sarvesh.
Karachhana police station in-charge Praveen Gautam said the accused’s father, Prasad Yadav, has lodged a complaint.
Based on the FIR, police have registered a murder case against Vijay Yadav and launched efforts to arrest him.

प्रयागराज के करछना थाना क्षेत्र के निबिया गांव में बेटे के जन्म की खुशी में निकाला जा रहा डीजे जुलूस अचानक दर्दनाक हादसे में बदल गया। खुशियों का माहौल उस समय मातम में तब्दील हो गया, जब जुलूस के दौरान हुए विवाद के बाद चली गोली से एक युवक की जान चली गई।
जानकारी के अनुसार, नवजात शिशु के जन्म का उत्सव मनाने के लिए गांव में डीजे के साथ जुलूस निकाला जा रहा था। इसी दौरान किसी बात को लेकर विवाद बढ़ गया।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपी ने अपने लाइसेंसी रिवॉल्वर से गोली चलाई, जो एक युवक को जा लगी। घायल को तुरंत अस्पताल ले जाया गया, लेकिन चिकित्सकों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया।
मृतक की पहचान 22 वर्षीय सर्वेश यादव के रूप में हुई है, जो निबिया गांव का निवासी था। वह एक निजी कृषि कंपनी में फील्ड मैनेजर के पद पर कार्यरत था और चार भाइयों में सबसे बड़ा था। जुलूस में बड़ी संख्या में ग्रामीण नाचते-गाते हुए शामिल थे, तभी अचानक माहौल हिंसक हो गया।
पुलिस के अनुसार, समारोह के दौरान दो पक्षों के बीच कहासुनी हुई, जिसने देखते ही देखते गंभीर रूप ले लिया। आरोप है कि विजय यादव ने अपने लाइसेंसी रिवॉल्वर से फायरिंग कर दी, जिससे सर्वेश यादव की मौके पर ही जान चली गई।
करछना थाना प्रभारी प्रवीण गौतम ने बताया कि आरोपी के पिता प्रसाद यादव की तहरीर पर विजय यादव के खिलाफ हत्या का मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया गया है। आरोपी की गिरफ्तारी के लिए पुलिस लगातार दबिश दे रही है।
