Ethanol Fuel Row Reaches Court: FIR Filed Against Social Media Influencers Over Posts on Nitin Gadkari

Nagpur: The debate surrounding ethanol-blended petrol has taken a legal turn after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Nagpur city social media cell chief Shishir Tripathi lodged a complaint against several social media influencers and digital content creators.

The complaint seeks legal action over online posts and videos that allegedly targeted Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari while questioning the use of ethanol-mixed fuel.

Acting on the complaint, the Nagpur Cyber Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including charges related to defamation, intentional insult aimed at provoking a breach of peace and obscene acts.

The case has also been registered under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, which deals with publishing or transmitting obscene material through electronic platforms.

According to Tripathi’s complaint, a number of YouTube channels and Instagram accounts allegedly circulated misleading information claiming that ethanol-blended petrol causes damage to vehicles.

He further alleged that some of the content used abusive and defamatory language against Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, thereby creating confusion among the public and harming his reputation.

Among those mentioned in the complaint is Bihar-based YouTuber Manish Kashyap. The complaint refers to one of his videos featuring an interview with a vehicle owner who claimed to have experienced problems after using ethanol-blended fuel.

It alleges that the video portrayed ethanol as harmful to automobiles without a factual basis, thereby spreading misinformation and damaging the public image of the Union minister.

Investigators have also taken note of several online videos carrying titles such as “Defender ho gayi kharab” and “Kya ab Rs 167 ka XP100 petrol bachayega aapki gaadi? Ethanol ke khel mein petrol itna mehenga kaise?”.

Besides these, the complaint cites multiple posts alleging that ethanol leads to rusting and causes serious mechanical damage to vehicles.

The complaint further identifies the administrator of the Instagram page “desi_boysncr”.

According to the allegations, one of the uploaded videos questioned Nitin Gadkari’s role in promoting ethanol-blended fuel, arguing that introducing fuel policy was not the minister’s responsibility and that his focus should instead remain on road infrastructure.

The complainant has also accused the account of posting abusive remarks directed at the minister.

Another social media account named in the complaint is reportedly operated by Harshit Rathee.

The complainant has alleged that the page shared digitally edited photographs of Nitin Gadkari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan along with derogatory and obscene captions.

Maintaining that the content published across these platforms contained false allegations, offensive language, and defamatory material, Tripathi claimed the posts were intended to mislead the public and tarnish the reputation of the Union minister.

Police officials said the investigation is continuing and that all aspects of the complaint are being examined.

एथेनॉल ईंधन विवाद कानूनी मोड़ पर: नितिन गडकरी पर पोस्ट करने वाले सोशल मीडिया इन्फ्लुएंसर्स के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज

नागपुर: एथेनॉल मिश्रित पेट्रोल को लेकर जारी विवाद अब कानूनी दायरे में पहुंच गया है। भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के नागपुर शहर सोशल मीडिया प्रकोष्ठ के प्रमुख शिशिर त्रिपाठी ने कई सोशल मीडिया इन्फ्लुएंसर्स और डिजिटल कंटेंट क्रिएटर्स के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कराते हुए कार्रवाई की मांग की है।

शिकायत में आरोप लगाया गया है कि इन लोगों ने एथेनॉल मिश्रित ईंधन को लेकर भ्रामक सामग्री प्रसारित करने के साथ-साथ केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी को निशाना बनाया।

शिकायत के आधार पर नागपुर साइबर पुलिस ने भारतीय न्याय संहिता (बीएनएस) की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत प्राथमिकी दर्ज की है। इनमें मानहानि, शांति भंग करने की मंशा से जानबूझकर अपमान करने तथा अश्लील कृत्यों से संबंधित प्रावधान शामिल हैं।

इसके अलावा सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी अधिनियम की धारा 67 के तहत भी मामला दर्ज किया गया है, जो इलेक्ट्रॉनिक माध्यम से अश्लील सामग्री प्रकाशित या प्रसारित करने से संबंधित है।

शिशिर त्रिपाठी का आरोप है कि कई यूट्यूब चैनलों और इंस्टाग्राम खातों ने यह दावा करते हुए भ्रामक वीडियो और पोस्ट प्रसारित किए कि एथेनॉल मिश्रित पेट्रोल वाहनों को नुकसान पहुंचाता है।

शिकायत में यह भी कहा गया है कि कुछ कंटेंट में नितिन गडकरी के खिलाफ अपमानजनक और मानहानिकारक भाषा का इस्तेमाल किया गया, जिससे आम लोगों के बीच भ्रम फैलाने और उनकी छवि धूमिल करने का प्रयास किया गया।

शिकायत में बिहार के यूट्यूबर मनीष कश्यप का भी नाम शामिल है। आरोप के अनुसार उनके एक वीडियो में एक वाहन मालिक का साक्षात्कार दिखाया गया है, जिसने एथेनॉल मिश्रित ईंधन के इस्तेमाल के बाद वाहन में समस्या आने का दावा किया था।

शिकायतकर्ता का कहना है कि इस वीडियो के माध्यम से एथेनॉल को बिना तथ्यात्मक आधार के वाहनों के लिए हानिकारक बताया गया, जिससे गलत धारणा फैलाने का प्रयास हुआ।

जांच के दायरे में उन वीडियो को भी शामिल किया गया है जिनके शीर्षक “Defender ho gayi kharab” तथा “Kya ab Rs 167 ka XP100 petrol bachayega aapki gaadi? Ethanol ke khel mein petrol itna mehenga kaise?” जैसे हैं।

इसके अलावा कई अन्य पोस्टों का भी उल्लेख किया गया है, जिनमें दावा किया गया कि एथेनॉल के कारण वाहनों में जंग लगती है और इंजन को गंभीर नुकसान पहुंचता है।

शिकायत में इंस्टाग्राम पेज “desi_boysncr” के संचालक का भी नाम लिया गया है। आरोप है कि इस पेज पर साझा किए गए एक वीडियो में नितिन गडकरी द्वारा एथेनॉल मिश्रित ईंधन को बढ़ावा देने पर सवाल उठाया गया और कहा गया कि ईंधन नीति बनाना मंत्री का कार्य नहीं है, बल्कि उन्हें सड़क निर्माण पर ध्यान देना चाहिए।

शिकायतकर्ता ने यह भी आरोप लगाया है कि इस खाते से मंत्री के खिलाफ अपमानजनक टिप्पणियां भी पोस्ट की गईं।

इसी मामले में हर्षित राठी द्वारा संचालित एक अन्य इंस्टाग्राम अकाउंट का भी उल्लेख किया गया है। शिकायत के अनुसार इस पेज पर केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव तथा शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान की संपादित तस्वीरें कथित रूप से आपत्तिजनक और अश्लील कैप्शन के साथ साझा की गईं।

शिशिर त्रिपाठी ने आरोप लगाया है कि इन वीडियो और सोशल मीडिया पोस्टों में झूठे दावे, अभद्र भाषा और मानहानिकारक सामग्री का प्रयोग कर लोगों को गुमराह करने तथा केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी की प्रतिष्ठा को नुकसान पहुंचाने का प्रयास किया गया।

पुलिस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मामले की जांच जारी है और शिकायत में लगाए गए सभी आरोपों की विस्तार से पड़ताल की जा रही है।
