Ram Mandir CEO Recruitment Draws Massive Response, Over 1,000 Apply as Selection Process Gains Momentum
Ayodhya: The search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has generated an overwhelming response, with more than 1,000 applications being received from across the country within a short span of the recruitment process opening.
A large number of retired civil servants have emerged among the prominent applicants, reflecting keen interest in one of the most significant administrative positions associated with the Ram Mandir.
Interest in the post surged immediately after the recruitment notification was released on Monday.
Within the first 24 hours, the selection committee’s official email inbox was flooded with applications from candidates representing diverse professional backgrounds and different states.
Constituted by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the three-member selection panel has been entrusted with identifying a new CEO who will supervise the day-to-day administration of the temple trust.
The recruitment exercise assumes added significance as it comes in the backdrop of the ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of temple donations.
With July 18 fixed as the final date for submitting applications, the committee has decided to appoint a secretary to streamline the recruitment process.
The official will assist in sorting, compiling, and examining applications according to the eligibility norms laid down by the panel before the shortlisting process begins.
A member of the selection committee said the response had exceeded expectations.
Around 750 applications were received on the very first day, and with several days remaining before the deadline, the committee anticipates the final figure to rise into the thousands.
Given the large volume of applications, systematic scrutiny has become essential to ensure that only eligible candidates are considered.
The committee is scheduled to meet on July 19 to begin examining the applications in detail and prepare the roadmap for the next phase of the recruitment process, including the scheduling of interviews with shortlisted candidates.
Sources associated with the process indicated that the eventual appointee is likely to be a retired government officer possessing substantial administrative experience.
The selection panel comprises former Supreme Court judge Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi and noted nuclear scientist Suresh Haware, who also previously served as Chairperson of the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust in Shirdi.
Eligibility conditions announced by the committee require applicants to be between 50 and 70 years of age, possess a minimum of 20 years’ administrative experience, and be willing to reside permanently in Ayodhya while serving in the position.
Among the key qualifications, the Trust has specified that the applicant must be a practising Hindu with deep devotion to Lord Ram.
Candidates are also required to have proficiency in both Hindi and English to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the office.
People familiar with the selection process said a considerable number of applications have been received from retired bureaucrats across the country.
Several applicants are understood to have previously managed large public institutions, government departments, and religious organisations.
According to a member of the selection panel, the prescribed criteria favour candidates with extensive experience in leading major public organisations or institutions over at least two decades.
The panel is also considering retired officers with expertise in administration, finance, legal affairs, and public relations, and many applicants belong to senior leadership positions in various government services.
Once the preliminary scrutiny is completed, candidates best matching the prescribed qualifications will be invited for interviews or detailed interactions with the panel.
Given the seniority and geographical spread of the applicants, the committee is also considering conducting online interviews wherever necessary, although a final decision on the mode of interaction will be taken after its July 19 meeting.
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is expected to hold its next meeting on July 22.
By then, the selection committee is likely to submit an update on the progress made in the recruitment exercise and the status of candidate shortlisting.
Officials indicated that the committee’s subsequent meeting is expected to take place in New Delhi as the process moves into the next stage of selecting the new CEO.

अयोध्या: श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र ट्रस्ट में मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) के पद के लिए शुरू हुई भर्ती प्रक्रिया को देशभर से जबरदस्त प्रतिक्रिया मिली है। भर्ती अधिसूचना जारी होने के कुछ ही समय के भीतर एक हजार से अधिक आवेदन प्राप्त हो चुके हैं।
आवेदकों में बड़ी संख्या सेवानिवृत्त वरिष्ठ नौकरशाहों की है, जिससे यह स्पष्ट है कि राम मंदिर के प्रशासनिक नेतृत्व की इस महत्वपूर्ण जिम्मेदारी को लेकर व्यापक रुचि देखने को मिल रही है।
भर्ती की सूचना सोमवार को जारी होते ही चयन समिति के आधिकारिक ईमेल पते पर लगातार आवेदन आने शुरू हो गए। पहले ही दिन विभिन्न राज्यों और अलग-अलग प्रशासनिक तथा पेशेवर क्षेत्रों से बड़ी संख्या में उम्मीदवारों ने अपनी दावेदारी प्रस्तुत की।
श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र ट्रस्ट द्वारा गठित तीन सदस्यीय चयन समिति को नए मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी का चयन करने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है।
चयनित अधिकारी मंदिर ट्रस्ट के दैनिक प्रशासन, प्रबंधन और संचालन की जिम्मेदारी संभालेगा। यह नियुक्ति ऐसे समय हो रही है जब मंदिर में दान राशि के कथित गबन के मामले की जांच भी जारी है।
आवेदन जमा करने की अंतिम तिथि 18 जुलाई निर्धारित की गई है। लगातार बढ़ती संख्या को देखते हुए चयन समिति ने एक सचिव नियुक्त करने का निर्णय लिया है, जो सभी प्राप्त आवेदनों को निर्धारित पात्रता मानकों के आधार पर व्यवस्थित करने, संकलित करने और प्रारंभिक जांच में समिति की सहायता करेगा।
चयन समिति के एक सदस्य ने बताया कि पहले ही दिन लगभग 750 आवेदन प्राप्त हो गए थे। जिस गति से आवेदन आ रहे हैं, उसे देखते हुए अंतिम तिथि तक इनकी संख्या कई हजार तक पहुंचने की संभावना है।
ऐसे में पात्र उम्मीदवारों की निष्पक्ष और व्यवस्थित छंटनी के लिए अलग प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था करना आवश्यक हो गया है।
समिति की अगली बैठक 19 जुलाई को प्रस्तावित है। इस बैठक में सभी आवेदनों की प्रारंभिक जांच शुरू की जाएगी तथा योग्य उम्मीदवारों के साक्षात्कार और आगे की चयन प्रक्रिया की रूपरेखा तैयार की जाएगी।
सूत्रों के अनुसार अंतिम चयन के लिए सेवानिवृत्त वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को प्राथमिकता मिलने की संभावना है, क्योंकि इस पद के लिए व्यापक प्रशासनिक अनुभव को महत्वपूर्ण मानदंड माना गया है।
चयन समिति में सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति प्रमोद कोहली, सेवानिवृत्त लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल विष्णुकांत चतुर्वेदी तथा वरिष्ठ परमाणु वैज्ञानिक और शिरडी स्थित श्री साईबाबा संस्थान ट्रस्ट के पूर्व अध्यक्ष सुरेश हवारे शामिल हैं।
समिति द्वारा जारी पात्रता शर्तों के अनुसार उम्मीदवार की आयु 50 से 70 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए। साथ ही उसके पास कम से कम 20 वर्षों का प्रशासनिक अनुभव होना आवश्यक है तथा चयन होने पर उसे अयोध्या में निवास करना होगा।
महत्वपूर्ण शर्तों में यह भी शामिल किया गया है कि आवेदक एक आस्थावान और नियमित रूप से धार्मिक आचरण करने वाला हिंदू हो तथा भगवान श्रीराम के प्रति गहरी श्रद्धा रखता हो। इसके अतिरिक्त उम्मीदवार को हिंदी और अंग्रेजी दोनों भाषाओं का अच्छा ज्ञान होना अनिवार्य है।
चयन प्रक्रिया से जुड़े सूत्रों का कहना है कि अब तक प्राप्त आवेदनों में बड़ी संख्या देश के विभिन्न राज्यों के सेवानिवृत्त नौकरशाहों की है। इनमें कई ऐसे अधिकारी भी शामिल हैं, जिन्हें बड़े सरकारी संस्थानों, सार्वजनिक संगठनों अथवा धार्मिक संस्थाओं के प्रशासन और प्रबंधन का लंबा अनुभव है।
चयन समिति के एक सदस्य के अनुसार पात्रता मानदंड ऐसे उम्मीदवारों को प्राथमिकता देते हैं, जिन्होंने कम से कम 20 वर्षों तक किसी बड़े सरकारी विभाग, सार्वजनिक संस्था या संगठन का सफलतापूर्वक संचालन किया हो।
सामान्य प्रशासन, वित्त, जनसंपर्क और विधिक मामलों का अनुभव रखने वाले वरिष्ठ सेवानिवृत्त अधिकारियों को भी आवेदन के लिए पात्र माना गया है और ऐसे अनेक उम्मीदवार विभिन्न सेवाओं से आवेदन कर चुके हैं।
प्रारंभिक जांच पूरी होने के बाद पात्र और उपयुक्त उम्मीदवारों को साक्षात्कार अथवा विस्तृत चर्चा के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाएगा।
उम्मीदवारों की वरिष्ठता और देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों से आवेदन आने को देखते हुए समिति आवश्यक होने पर ऑनलाइन साक्षात्कार का विकल्प भी अपनाने पर विचार कर रही है। हालांकि इस संबंध में अंतिम निर्णय 19 जुलाई की बैठक में लिया जाएगा।
श्रीराम जन्मभूमि तीर्थ क्षेत्र ट्रस्ट की अगली बैठक 22 जुलाई को प्रस्तावित है।
उम्मीद की जा रही है कि तब तक चयन समिति भर्ती प्रक्रिया की प्रगति और शॉर्टलिस्ट किए गए उम्मीदवारों से संबंधित अपनी प्रारंभिक रिपोर्ट ट्रस्ट के समक्ष प्रस्तुत कर देगी।
सूत्रों के अनुसार चयन समिति की अगली बैठक नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किए जाने की संभावना है, जहां नए मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी के चयन की प्रक्रिया अगले चरण में प्रवेश करेगी।
