Resuming the fourth and final day’s play at 130 for 6 while chasing an imposing target of 457, England’s batting line-up failed to mount any resistance and was bowled out for 186.
Off-spinner Sneh Rana spearheaded India’s attack with four wickets, while Kranti Gaud and Sayali Satghare claimed two wickets apiece to seal a famous victory.
One of the defining moments of the match came from Yastika Bhatia, whose superb century in the second innings laid the foundation for India’s dominance.

Earlier, the England captain won the toss and elected to field first. Adding to the occasion before the start of the final day’s play, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar spent time with the Indian players in the dressing room and shared words of encouragement, a gesture that appeared to further lift the team’s confidence ahead of the decisive day’s action.
The emphatic triumph also brought welcome cheer for Indian cricket supporters after the disappointing recent performances of the men’s T20I side during its tour of the United Kingdom.
India failed to register a victory in the seven-match campaign, suffering six defeats while one game was abandoned because of rain.
The difficult tour began with two unexpected defeats against Ireland under new captain Shreyas Iyer before the team endured four successive losses against England in the T20I series.
