Iran Links Any US Deal to End of Israeli Strikes on Lebanon; Khamenei Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Hezbollah
Iran has hardened its position on the escalating regional conflict, with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei declaring that Tehran considers the protection of Hezbollah and Lebanon’s sovereignty a strategic obligation.
He asserted that any understanding aimed at ending the ongoing confrontation between Iran and the United States would be unacceptable unless Israel first halted its military operations against Lebanon.
In a message posted on social media platform X, Khamenei responded to a pledge of loyalty sent by Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem and the group’s fighters.
Commending their resilience in the face of prolonged conflict, he portrayed Hezbollah as an unshakable pillar of the resistance movement confronting Israel. He praised its members for what he described as their steadfast commitment.
Projecting defiance despite mounting tensions in the region, the Iranian leader maintained that armed resistance remained the only viable course.
According to him, perseverance on the battlefield would eventually deliver what he termed a divinely ordained victory to those engaged in the struggle.
Khamenei further declared that safeguarding Hezbollah and preserving Lebanon’s territorial integrity formed an integral part of Iran’s long-term strategic policy.
He argued that no diplomatic settlement with Washington over what he called the “imposed war” could succeed unless Israeli military action inside Lebanon came to a complete and unconditional end.
The Supreme Leader also paid tribute to residents of southern Lebanon, praising them for their endurance during the conflict and for continuing to support Hezbollah despite sustained hostilities.
He honoured the memory of former Hezbollah chief Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and several senior commanders killed in the fighting, saying their sacrifices had transformed the organisation from a relatively small movement into one of the most influential forces in the region, earning Lebanon recognition across the Islamic world.
The latest remarks underscore Tehran’s continued political and ideological commitment to Hezbollah at a time of heightened instability in West Asia.
They also indicate that Iran intends to link any wider regional settlement with both the cessation of Israeli military operations in Lebanon and guarantees protecting Lebanese sovereignty.
Amid these developments, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun conveyed a similar message during his first meeting with US President Donald Trump. According to official accounts of the discussions,
Aoun emphasised that complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory was essential for restoring stability and enabling the Lebanese government to exercise full authority across the country.
The talks between the two leaders reportedly covered a wide range of regional issues, including the future of Iran-backed Hezbollah, proposals concerning the group’s disarmament, Israeli troop withdrawal, continued American assistance to the Lebanese Armed Forces, post-conflict reconstruction, economic revival and measures to encourage greater US investment in Lebanon.

पश्चिम एशिया में बढ़ते तनाव के बीच ईरान ने अपने रुख को और स्पष्ट करते हुए कहा है कि हिजबुल्लाह और लेबनान की सुरक्षा उसके लिए केवल राजनीतिक मुद्दा नहीं बल्कि दीर्घकालिक रणनीतिक जिम्मेदारी है।
ईरान के सर्वोच्च नेता आयतुल्ला मोजतबा खामेनेई ने स्पष्ट संकेत दिया कि जब तक इजरायल लेबनान पर अपने सैन्य हमले पूरी तरह और बिना किसी शर्त के बंद नहीं करता, तब तक अमेरिका के साथ मौजूदा संघर्ष समाप्त करने की दिशा में किसी भी समझौते की संभावना नहीं है।
सोशल मीडिया मंच एक्स पर जारी अपने संदेश में खामेनेई ने हिजबुल्लाह महासचिव शेख नईम कासिम और संगठन के लड़ाकों द्वारा भेजे गए निष्ठा संदेश का जवाब दिया।
उन्होंने संघर्ष के दौरान संगठन के धैर्य, साहस और बलिदान की प्रशंसा करते हुए हिजबुल्लाह को इजरायल के खिलाफ प्रतिरोध की अग्रिम पंक्ति में डटा हुआ अडिग संगठन बताया।
ईरानी सर्वोच्च नेता ने कहा कि मौजूदा परिस्थितियों में प्रतिरोध और संघर्ष का मार्ग ही एकमात्र विकल्प बचा है। उनका दावा था कि यदि यह संघर्ष दृढ़ता के साथ जारी रहा तो अंततः उसी पक्ष की विजय होगी जिसे उन्होंने ईश्वरीय न्याय और आस्था की लड़ाई बताया।
खामेनेई ने कहा कि लेबनान की क्षेत्रीय अखंडता की रक्षा और हिजबुल्लाह की सुरक्षा ईरान की रणनीतिक नीति का अभिन्न हिस्सा है।
उन्होंने दोहराया कि अमेरिका के साथ जिस युद्ध को उन्होंने “थोपा गया संघर्ष” बताया, उसे समाप्त करने के लिए होने वाली किसी भी वार्ता का आधार तभी बन सकता है जब इजरायल लेबनान के खिलाफ अपनी सैन्य कार्रवाई पूरी तरह रोक दे।
उन्होंने दक्षिणी लेबनान के नागरिकों के धैर्य और संघर्ष के दौरान हिजबुल्लाह के प्रति उनके समर्थन की भी सराहना की।
साथ ही पूर्व हिजबुल्लाह प्रमुख सैयद हसन नसरल्लाह तथा संघर्ष में मारे गए अन्य वरिष्ठ कमांडरों को श्रद्धांजलि देते हुए कहा कि उनके नेतृत्व और बलिदान ने संगठन को एक छोटे समूह से क्षेत्र की प्रभावशाली ताकत में बदल दिया, जिसने पूरे इस्लामी जगत में लेबनान का सम्मान बढ़ाया।
विश्लेषकों का मानना है कि खामेनेई का यह बयान ऐसे समय आया है जब पूरे क्षेत्र में तनाव लगातार बढ़ रहा है।
इससे यह स्पष्ट संकेत मिलता है कि तेहरान न केवल हिजबुल्लाह के प्रति अपना राजनीतिक और वैचारिक समर्थन जारी रखेगा, बल्कि भविष्य में होने वाली किसी भी व्यापक क्षेत्रीय समझौता प्रक्रिया को लेबनान में इजरायली सैन्य कार्रवाई समाप्त होने और उसकी संप्रभुता की सुरक्षा से भी जोड़ेगा।
इसी बीच लेबनान के राष्ट्रपति जोसेफ आउन ने अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के साथ अपनी पहली मुलाकात में स्पष्ट कहा कि देश में स्थायी शांति और स्थिरता तभी स्थापित हो सकती है जब इजरायल अपनी पूरी सेना लेबनानी क्षेत्र से वापस बुला ले।
उनके अनुसार तभी लेबनान की सरकार पूरे देश में प्रभावी ढंग से अपना प्रशासनिक नियंत्रण स्थापित कर सकेगी।
दोनों नेताओं के बीच हुई वार्ता में ईरान समर्थित हिजबुल्लाह के भविष्य, संगठन को निशस्त्र करने के प्रस्ताव, इजरायली सेना की वापसी, लेबनानी सेना को अमेरिकी सहयोग, युद्ध के बाद पुनर्निर्माण, आर्थिक पुनरुद्धार तथा लेबनान में अमेरिकी निवेश बढ़ाने जैसे कई महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रीय और द्विपक्षीय मुद्दों पर विस्तार से चर्चा हुई।
