Iran-US Conflict Escalates Across Gulf: Missile and Drone Attacks Intensify as Regional Tensions Reach Dangerous Levels
Fresh waves of missile and drone strikes kept several West Asian countries on high alert as the confrontation between Iran and the United States deepened, further diminishing hopes of an early diplomatic breakthrough.
Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other Gulf nations witnessed heightened military activity as retaliatory operations expanded across the region.
Military alert systems remained fully operational in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates after Iran launched attacks targeting American military installations located in these countries.
The strikes were described by Tehran as retaliation for the latest US military operations against Iranian targets.
Providing details of the operation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it had carried out coordinated attacks on American military bases in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other strategic locations across West Asia.
Iranian officials said the operations formed part of a broader response to what they described as continuing US military aggression.
Reports carried by Tasnim News Agency stated that another salvo of Iranian ballistic missiles had been fired at US military facilities in Jordan.
Explosions were also reported from Kuwait. Iranian state-linked media released footage claiming to show one of its drones striking a US Army logistics warehouse inside Kuwait.
These claims, however, had not been independently verified.
Powerful explosions were also reported near American military installations in Bahrain, where emergency warning sirens sounded, and the country’s air defence network was activated.
Iranian media claimed that the operation targeted infrastructure and military facilities used by US forces in Bahrain’s Juffair area, one of the principal locations hosting American naval assets.
The conflict appeared to widen further as Oman also figured among the reported targets.
According to Al Jazeera, Iran claimed it had struck long-range aerial surveillance radar systems and maritime detection equipment located in Oman as part of its expanding military campaign.
On Wednesday, Tasnim News Agency published satellite images that it said showed the impact of recent attacks on US military facilities in Bahrain and Qatar.
The authenticity of the images has not been independently confirmed.
Iranian media also circulated a video purportedly showing damage at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar following exchanges of fire over the weekend.
The footage appeared to indicate destruction at a fighter aircraft maintenance and repair facility within the joint US-Qatar military installation.
Washington had not issued an official response to the claims at the time of reporting.
A separate video released by Tasnim allegedly depicted damage to the US Fifth Fleet’s drone operations centre in Bahrain.
Satellite photographs accompanying the footage were presented as evidence of destruction at a drone command-and-control facility, although independent confirmation remained unavailable.
Explaining the military action, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the attacks were intended as retaliation for what it described as American aggression in the Gulf region.
Meanwhile, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) continued extensive military operations targeting multiple Iranian military sites near the Strait of Hormuz and along Iran’s southern coastline.
Adding to the pressure on Tehran, the United States has reinstated a naval blockade around Iranian ports, aiming to restrict maritime traffic through the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz.
US President Donald Trump warned that Washington was prepared to respond with overwhelming force if Iran continued its military actions.
He also convened a high-level Situation Room meeting with senior national security officials to review plans for what was described as a possible large-scale military operation in the coming days.

ईरान की इस्लामिक रिवोल्यूशनरी गार्ड कॉर्प्स (आईआरजीसी) ने मंगलवार को दावा किया कि उसने जॉर्डन, बहरीन, कुवैत और पश्चिम एशिया के अन्य रणनीतिक स्थानों पर मौजूद अमेरिकी सैन्य अड्डों पर समन्वित हमले किए हैं।
आईआरजीसी के अनुसार, यह अभियान क्षेत्र में अमेरिका की लगातार सैन्य गतिविधियों के जवाब में चलाया गया।
ईरान की तस्नीम समाचार एजेंसी ने दावा किया कि जॉर्डन स्थित अमेरिकी ठिकानों पर बैलिस्टिक मिसाइलों की नई खेप दागी गई। कुवैत में भी कई विस्फोटों की आवाज़ें सुनाई देने की सूचना मिली।
ईरानी मीडिया ने एक वीडियो जारी करते हुए दावा किया कि उसके ड्रोन ने कुवैत में अमेरिकी सेना के एक लॉजिस्टिक गोदाम को निशाना बनाया। हालांकि इन दावों की स्वतंत्र पुष्टि नहीं हो सकी है।
बहरीन में भी अमेरिकी सैन्य प्रतिष्ठानों के आसपास तेज धमाकों की खबरें सामने आईं, जिसके बाद चेतावनी सायरन बजाए गए और देश की वायु रक्षा प्रणाली को सक्रिय कर दिया गया।
ईरानी मीडिया का दावा है कि बहरीन के जुफैर क्षेत्र में स्थित अमेरिकी सैन्य ढांचे और बुनियादी सुविधाओं को निशाना बनाया गया, जहां अमेरिकी नौसेना की महत्वपूर्ण मौजूदगी है।
संघर्ष का दायरा उस समय और बढ़ता नज़र आया जब ओमान भी कथित हमलों की सूची में शामिल हो गया।
अल जज़ीरा की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, ईरान ने दावा किया कि उसने ओमान में लंबी दूरी की हवाई निगरानी रडार प्रणाली और समुद्री जहाजों की निगरानी करने वाले रडार उपकरणों को निशाना बनाया।

वीडियो में लड़ाकू विमानों के रखरखाव एवं मरम्मत केंद्र को नुकसान पहुंचने का दावा किया गया है। इस संबंध में अमेरिका की ओर से तत्काल कोई आधिकारिक प्रतिक्रिया नहीं आई।
तस्नीम द्वारा साझा किए गए एक अन्य वीडियो में बहरीन स्थित अमेरिकी फिफ्थ फ्लीट के ड्रोन संचालन केंद्र को हुए कथित नुकसान को दिखाया गया। इसके साथ जारी उपग्रह चित्रों में ड्रोन कमांड एवं नियंत्रण केंद्र को क्षतिग्रस्त बताया गया, हालांकि इसकी भी स्वतंत्र पुष्टि उपलब्ध नहीं है।
आईआरजीसी ने कहा कि ये सभी सैन्य कार्रवाइयां क्षेत्र में अमेरिकी हमलों के जवाब में की गई हैं। दूसरी ओर, अमेरिकी सेंट्रल कमांड (सेंटकॉम) ने होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य के निकट और ईरान के तटीय क्षेत्रों में कई सैन्य ठिकानों को निशाना बनाकर अपने अभियान को जारी रखा।
तनाव को और बढ़ाते हुए अमेरिका ने ईरानी बंदरगाहों के आसपास समुद्री नाकेबंदी फिर से लागू कर दी है, ताकि होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य से गुजरने वाले जहाजों की आवाजाही को नियंत्रित किया जा सके।
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने चेतावनी दी कि यदि ईरान अपनी सैन्य कार्रवाई जारी रखता है तो अमेरिका बेहद कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया देगा।
इसके साथ ही उन्होंने वरिष्ठ राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा अधिकारियों के साथ सिचुएशन रूम में उच्चस्तरीय बैठक कर आने वाले दिनों में संभावित बड़े सैन्य अभियान की तैयारियों की समीक्षा भी की।
