Jaipur Horror: Woman and Three Daughters Found Dead at Home, Husband Suspected
Police recover cement block from Govind Vatika residence; preliminary probe suggests the victims may have been attacked while asleep.
A family dispute is being investigated as a possible trigger behind the alleged killing of a 40-year-old woman and her three daughters at their residence in Jaipur, police said on Friday.
The victims have been identified as Geeta Jha and her daughters Nandini, Radhika and Gauri, whose ages ranged from 15 to 22.
Their bodies were discovered on Thursday in different rooms of their house in Govind Vatika, which falls within the jurisdiction of Kardhani police station.
According to police, all four women had suffered severe injuries to their heads and faces.
Investigators are examining whether the attack took place inside the house while the victims were asleep.
A cement block, believed to have been used as the weapon, was found at the residence and has been taken into the investigation.
Police have named Geeta’s husband, Rahul Jha, as the main suspect at this stage.
Investigators believe he may have fled following the incident, and his mobile phone has reportedly remained switched off.
Search teams have been constituted to locate and question him as the investigation progresses.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Jaipur West) Shiv Kumar Bhadwaj said the initial findings indicate that the women could have been assaulted while sleeping.
However, the circumstances surrounding the deaths are still being established.
The incident came to light after residents alerted the authorities.
Police personnel, along with teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory, subsequently reached the house and began examining the scene for evidence.
Investigators are continuing to piece together the events leading up to the deaths, while efforts remain underway to trace the suspected accused.

जयपुर में एक ही परिवार की चार महिलाओं की कथित हत्या से सनसनी फैल गई है।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, 40 वर्षीय महिला और उसकी तीन बेटियों को उनके घर में कथित तौर पर सीमेंट के ब्लॉक से हमला कर मार दिया गया।
शुरुआती जांच में घटना के पीछे पारिवारिक विवाद की आशंका जताई जा रही है।
मृतकों की पहचान गीता झा और उनकी बेटियों नंदिनी, राधिका तथा गौरी के रूप में हुई है।
बेटियों की उम्र 15 से 22 वर्ष के बीच बताई गई है। चारों के शव गुरुवार को गोविंद वाटिका स्थित उनके घर के अलग-अलग कमरों से मिले।
पुलिस के अनुसार, सभी मृतकों के सिर और चेहरे पर चोट के निशान पाए गए। जांच अधिकारी इस संभावना को भी देख रहे हैं कि हमला उस समय किया गया हो जब महिलाएं सो रही थीं।
घटनास्थल से पुलिस ने एक सीमेंट का ब्लॉक बरामद किया है। प्रारंभिक जांच में इसे वारदात में इस्तेमाल किए जाने की आशंका है और इसे मामले की जांच के अहम सबूत के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है।
पुलिस को गीता झा के पति राहुल झा की हत्या में शामिल होने का संदेह है। जांच एजेंसियों के अनुसार, घटना के बाद उसके वहाँ से निकल जाने की आशंका है। उसका मोबाइल फोन भी फिलहाल बंद बताया जा रहा है।
राहुल झा का पता लगाने के लिए पुलिस ने अलग-अलग टीमें गठित की हैं। जांच के साथ-साथ संदिग्ध की तलाश भी जारी है।
जयपुर पश्चिम के सहायक पुलिस आयुक्त शिव कुमार भदवाज ने बताया कि शुरुआती पड़ताल से संकेत मिले हैं कि चारों महिलाओं पर सोते समय हमला किया गया हो सकता है।
हालांकि, घटना की पूरी परिस्थितियों की पुष्टि के लिए जांच अभी जारी है।
स्थानीय लोगों की सूचना के बाद पुलिस को घटना की जानकारी मिली। इसके बाद पुलिसकर्मी और फॉरेंसिक साइंस लैब (FSL) की टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं और घर में जांच शुरू की।
फॉरेंसिक जांच और अन्य साक्ष्यों के आधार पर पुलिस घटनाक्रम की कड़ियां जोड़ने में जुटी है। चारों मौतों के पीछे की पूरी वजह और घटना के क्रम को स्पष्ट करने के लिए आगे की जांच की जा रही है।
