Patients visiting hospitals through out the country felt inconvenienced due to strike by doctors. The medical fraternity is angered and shocked at the brutal murder and rape of a lady doctor at a Kolkata hospital last Thursday night.
Earlier, doctors in west bengal were protesting but this anger has now spilled all over the country.
Doctors at various medical colleges expressed deep resentment over this heinous crime, this has resulted in the work getting affected at hospitals and medical colleges.

The functioning of OPD at Prayagraj, Gorakhpur and several other districts was affected due to resentment amongst doctors who have threatened to intensify their protest from Tuesday.
However, doctors attended to patients despite being on strike but surgeries were postponed at several hospitals and iPads functioned for shorter period.
