Prayagraj Mourns the Loss of Young Lives in Lucknow Fire Tragedy
On June 23, 2026, at around 1 pm, councillors and concerned citizens gathered at the Councillors’ Hall of the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation to express their profound grief over the tragic loss of students’ lives in the devastating fire that broke out at a coaching centre in Lucknow.
The participants described the incident as deeply heartbreaking and painful, saying that the untimely deaths of young students had left society shocked and distressed.
They observed that the tragedy had not only affected the bereaved families but had also deeply saddened people across the state.
Tribute Paid Through Silence and Prayer
During the meeting, all those present observed a period of silence to pay their heartfelt tributes to the deceased students and prayed for eternal peace for their departed souls.

Demand for Stronger Safety Regulations

They emphasised that educational institutions, coaching centres and commercial establishments where large numbers of students and citizens gather must comply with robust fire safety measures, proper ventilation systems, emergency exits and regular safety inspections.
The participants stressed that every possible effort should be made to ensure that such a tragic incident is never repeated and that the safety of students remains the highest priority.

दिनांक 23 जून 2026 को दोपहर लगभग एक बजे नगर निगम प्रयागराज के पार्षद कक्ष में पार्षदों और शहर के नागरिकों ने एकत्र होकर लखनऊ स्थित कोचिंग सेंटर में आग लगने से छात्रों की हुई दर्दनाक मृत्यु पर गहरा शोक व्यक्त किया।
उपस्थित जनप्रतिनिधियों और नागरिकों ने इस हादसे को अत्यंत हृदय विदारक, पीड़ादायक और समाज को झकझोर देने वाली घटना बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि जिन युवा विद्यार्थियों ने अपने सपनों और बेहतर भविष्य की उम्मीदों के साथ शिक्षा का मार्ग चुना था, उनकी असमय मृत्यु ने पूरे प्रदेश को गहरे दुख और शोक में डुबो दिया है।
मौन रखकर दिवंगत छात्रों को दी गई श्रद्धांजलि
शोकसभा में उपस्थित सभी लोगों ने दिवंगत छात्रों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए कुछ समय का मौन रखकर उन्हें भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।
इस दौरान उपस्थित लोगों ने मृतक छात्रों के परिजनों के प्रति अपनी संवेदनाएं व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि इस असहनीय दुख की घड़ी में पूरा समाज उनके साथ खड़ा है। उन्होंने कहा कि युवा जीवनों का इस प्रकार असमय समाप्त हो जाना अत्यंत दुखद है और इसकी पीड़ा को शब्दों में व्यक्त नहीं किया जा सकता।
भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाएं रोकने के लिए कड़े मानकों की मांग
पार्षदों ने उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार से मांग की कि इस प्रकार की त्रासदियों की पुनरावृत्ति रोकने के लिए व्यापक और प्रभावी सुरक्षा मानकों को अनिवार्य रूप से लागू किया जाए।
उन्होंने कहा कि कोचिंग संस्थानों, शैक्षणिक परिसरों और उन सभी भवनों, जहां बड़ी संख्या में छात्र और नागरिक एकत्रित होते हैं, वहां अग्नि सुरक्षा उपकरणों, पर्याप्त वेंटिलेशन, आपातकालीन निकास मार्गों और नियमित सुरक्षा निरीक्षण की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित की जानी चाहिए।
उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि छात्रों की सुरक्षा सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता होनी चाहिए और भविष्य में किसी भी परिवार को ऐसी असहनीय पीड़ा का सामना न करना पड़े, इसके लिए सरकार को आवश्यक और कठोर कदम उठाने चाहिए।

सभा का समापन दिवंगत छात्रों को श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित करते हुए इस संकल्प के साथ हुआ कि छात्र सुरक्षा से जुड़े मुद्दों पर समाज और जनप्रतिनिधि मिलकर आवाज उठाएंगे, ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी किसी भी दुखद घटना की पुनरावृत्ति को रोका जा सके।
