The UP government has suspended two chief engineers, two superintending engineers along with nine officers of the electricity department in Meerut Aligarh division of the state.
As per reports, the high-ranking engineers were found hand in glove with a firm supplying substandard electrical goods to the department.
In Meerut, the engineers had taken a bribe of 2.5 crore in works related to the beautification of parks.
