Prayagraj Triple Murder: CM Yogi Adityanath Meets Bereaved Family, Promises Swift Justice and Full Government Support
Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday met the family members of the victims of the brutal triple murder that took place in Prayagraj’s Meja area on June 15.
During the meeting, held at his official residence in Lucknow, the Chief Minister assured the grieving family that the perpetrators would face strict legal action and that justice would be delivered without delay.
He also promised financial assistance and complete security to the affected family.
The meeting was facilitated by Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, who had earlier visited the bereaved family on June 19.
During that visit, he assured them that their concerns would be conveyed directly to the Chief Minister and pledged to arrange a meeting with him. Fulfilling that commitment, Nandi accompanied the family to meet CM Yogi on Wednesday.
During the interaction, the family narrated the entire sequence of events leading to the horrific crime and urged the Chief Minister to ensure the harshest possible punishment for the accused.
They also expressed concerns over their safety and sought continued protection from the state government.
The delegation comprised Ram Niranjan Gupta, Shyam Lal Gupta, Pawan Gupta, Mukesh Gupta, Vishal Gupta, and Radha Gupta. Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ and Om Prakash Sahu were also present during the meeting.
The bereaved family belongs to Nibi Kukarkatwa village under Meja police station in Prayagraj. In the June 15 incident, Shyam Lal Gupta (65), Indravati Devi (58), and Amaravati Devi (52) were brutally murdered.
Police have already arrested the prime accused, Himanshu Yadav, along with three other accused in connection with the case.
Another member of the family, Munnu, who sustained injuries in the attack, continues to undergo treatment at a hospital.
Police said the investigation is progressing rapidly and assured the family that everyone involved in the crime would be brought to justice.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the state stands firmly with the bereaved family and that every possible step would be taken to ensure justice, security and all necessary assistance.

प्रयागराज के मेजा क्षेत्र में 15 जून को हुए सनसनीखेज तिहरे हत्याकांड के पीड़ित परिवार ने बुधवार को लखनऊ में मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ से मुलाकात की। मुख्यमंत्री ने शोकाकुल परिजनों को भरोसा दिलाया कि इस जघन्य वारदात में शामिल आरोपियों के खिलाफ सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी और दोषियों को जल्द से जल्द कानून के दायरे में लाकर न्याय सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा। उन्होंने पीड़ित परिवार को आर्थिक सहायता के साथ-साथ पूरी सुरक्षा उपलब्ध कराने का भी आश्वासन दिया।
यह मुलाकात उत्तर प्रदेश के औद्योगिक विकास मंत्री नंद गोपाल गुप्ता ‘नंदी’ की पहल पर आयोजित हुई। मंत्री नंदी ने 19 जून को पीड़ित परिवार से मुलाकात कर उन्हें न्याय दिलाने का भरोसा दिया था। उन्होंने यह भी वादा किया था कि परिवार को मुख्यमंत्री से मुलाकात कराई जाएगी। बुधवार को उन्होंने अपना वादा निभाते हुए परिवार को मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ से मिलवाया।
मुख्यमंत्री से बातचीत के दौरान परिजनों ने पूरी घटना का क्रमवार विवरण साझा किया और आरोपियों के खिलाफ कठोरतम कार्रवाई की मांग की। उन्होंने अपनी सुरक्षा को लेकर भी चिंता जताई तथा राज्य सरकार से निरंतर संरक्षण की अपेक्षा व्यक्त की।
मुख्यमंत्री से मिलने पहुंचे प्रतिनिधिमंडल में राम निरंजन गुप्ता, श्याम लाल गुप्ता, पवन गुप्ता, मुकेश गुप्ता, विशाल गुप्ता और राधा गुप्ता शामिल थे। इस दौरान औद्योगिक विकास मंत्री नंद गोपाल गुप्ता ‘नंदी’ और ओम प्रकाश साहू भी मौजूद रहे।
पीड़ित परिवार प्रयागराज के मेजा थाना क्षेत्र के निबी कूकरकटवा गांव का निवासी है। 15 जून को हुई इस दर्दनाक घटना में श्याम लाल गुप्ता (65), इंद्रावती देवी (58) और अमरावती देवी (52) की निर्मम हत्या कर दी गई थी। पुलिस इस मामले में मुख्य आरोपी हिमांशु यादव समेत तीन अन्य आरोपियों को पहले ही गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है।
हमले में घायल हुए परिवार के सदस्य मुन्नू का अभी भी अस्पताल में उपचार जारी है। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले की जांच तेजी से आगे बढ़ रही है और अपराध में शामिल प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के खिलाफ साक्ष्यों के आधार पर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने दोहराया कि राज्य सरकार इस कठिन समय में पीड़ित परिवार के साथ पूरी मजबूती से खड़ी है। उन्होंने आश्वस्त किया कि न्याय दिलाने, परिवार की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने और हरसंभव सरकारी सहायता उपलब्ध कराने में कोई कमी नहीं छोड़ी जाएगी।
