He stressed that haste without adequate precautions could place both survivors and rescuers in greater danger.
The commissioner also revealed that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the rescue effort on Friday and directed officials to accelerate the operation without compromising safety.
He instructed the administration to provide every possible assistance to the affected families while ensuring that rescue teams receive all necessary logistical support.
According to preliminary assessments by the NDRF, the first major concrete slab has already been breached.

He added that two newly introduced high-technology demolition excavators have significantly strengthened the rescue effort by enabling teams to remove heavy concrete slabs more efficiently.

पिंपरी-चिंचवड़ नगर निगम (पीसीएमसी) के आयुक्त विजय सूर्यवंशी ने बताया कि राहत दलों ने ऊपरी कंक्रीट स्लैब को लगभग पूरी तरह हटाने का काम पूरा कर लिया है। अब मलबा साफ करने के बाद नीचे की स्लैब को हटाया जाएगा, जिसके नीचे अंतिम व्यक्ति के फंसे होने की आशंका है।
उन्होंने बताया कि घटनास्थल पर मौजूद प्रत्येक मशीन विशेषज्ञों की निगरानी में संचालित की जा रही है। मलबे की हर परत को क्रमबद्ध तरीके से हटाया जा रहा है ताकि किसी प्रकार का अतिरिक्त हादसा न हो और भीतर फंसे व्यक्ति तक सुरक्षित पहुंचा जा सके।
