Rae Bareli/Amethi: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will undertake a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, Rae Bareli and the adjoining Amethi district, on Tuesday and Wednesday, party leaders confirmed.

During his visit, Gandhi is scheduled to engage with local party office-bearers, participate in multiple field visits, and inaugurate several development projects.

One of the key highlights of his Amethi visit will be the inauguration of a newly established heart surgery operation theatre at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Munshiganj. The hospital had recently been in the news due to allegations by a few patients regarding their treatment, though these claims were firmly denied by the hospital administration.

On April 29, the first day of his tour, Rahul Gandhi will begin his schedule in Rae Bareli by attending a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA). He will also inaugurate a solar power plant in Kundangaj and unveil a statue of freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose. Additionally, he will visit the Rae Bareli Rail Coach Factory and the Indira Gandhi College of Nursing.

On the second day, he will shift focus to Amethi, where he is expected to inspect the ordnance factory at Korva and interact with workers and officials there.

Congress MP from Amethi, Kishori Lal Sharma, confirmed the itinerary and said the visit will focus on reviewing developmental works, interacting with local stakeholders, and addressing constituency needs.
