UP Plans Dedicated Neeb Karori Baba Tourism Route as Spiritual Travel Gets New Push

Uttar Pradesh is developing a dedicated Neeb Karori Baba tourism circuit connecting key sites in Firozabad, Farrukhabad, Lucknow and Vrindavan, with five new tour packages for visitors.
Uttar Pradesh is preparing to turn a collection of places associated with Neeb Karori Baba into a connected spiritual tourism destination, giving devotees a structured way to visit locations linked to the saint’s life and legacy.
The initiative announced Thursday includes a new pilgrimage circuit as well as five travel programmes of varying durations.
The packages, covering two, three and five days, are expected to operate from Delhi and Lucknow, depending on tourist demand.
Rather than treating the individual sites as separate destinations, the state’s tourism authorities plan to bring them together under one route.
The proposed Neeb Karori Baba Circuit will include Akbarpur in Firozabad, the Neeb Karori Baba Ashram Dham Temple in Farrukhabad, Hanuman Setu Temple in Lucknow and the Samadhi Temple in Vrindavan.
The move comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to invest in religious tourism infrastructure.
More than simply facilitating pilgrim movement, the latest plan is aimed at developing visitor amenities around places that hold significance for followers of the saint.
A major part of the proposed route’s appeal lies in the personal history attached to these locations.
Neeb Karori Baba, born Lakshman Narayan Sharma, is believed to have been born around 1900 in Akbarpur village.
A devotee of Lord Hanuman, he became known as a spiritual teacher whose message emphasised faith, simplicity and service.
One of the most distinctive locations on the proposed route is the Farrukhabad ashram.
The saint is believed to have spent approximately 12 years meditating in an underground cave there, giving the site a special place in accounts of his spiritual journey.
His final association with the circuit is in Vrindavan.
The Samadhi Temple is linked to the period when he is believed to have attained Mahasamadhi in September 1973.
He died in Vrindavan on September 11, 1973.
Although decades have passed since his death, Neeb Karori Baba continues to have followers in India and abroad.
Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand remains particularly prominent among the places associated with him.
The government is also upgrading physical facilities in the districts connected with the proposed route.
The tourism department has sanctioned Rs 12.93 crore for infrastructure and tourism amenities in Firozabad and Farrukhabad as part of the ongoing development effort.
Implementation of the work has already moved ahead. The first phase, involving Rs 8.65 crore, has been spent on tourism facilities.
A second phase costing Rs 2.22 crore is also underway, with more than 60 per cent of the work completed. The balance is expected to be finished by December.
Plans extend beyond conventional pilgrimage infrastructure.
A Rs 55.44 lakh rural tourism project has been proposed for Akbarpur, potentially giving visitors a closer connection with the area regarded as Baba’s birthplace.
Farrukhabad has received separate attention as well.
A project costing Rs 1.51 crore for improving the Neeb Karori Ashram has already been completed, adding to the facilities available at the site.
The tourism push coincides with renewed public attention around the saint’s life. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the cast and crew of Hanuman Ansh on Wednesday, with the film based on Neeb Karori Baba’s life.
For the state government, the occasion was also an opportunity to underline the continuing relevance of the saint’s teachings.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh described Mahasamadhi Day as a time to remember a spiritual figure whose principles of devotion, simplicity and service continue to resonate internationally.
The proposed route is expected to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s existing portfolio of religious tourism destinations.
Amrit Abhijat, Additional Chief Secretary and Director General of Tourism, said bringing the important locations associated with Baba together would make them more convenient for both pilgrims and tourists to visit.
The project therefore combines two strands of tourism development: creating an identifiable route around a nationally and internationally followed spiritual figure, while simultaneously improving the physical infrastructure at the destinations themselves.
With the new packages providing organised travel options and development work progressing at key locations, the state is positioning the Neeb Karori Baba circuit as a new addition to Uttar Pradesh’s expanding spiritual tourism network.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार नीब करौरी बाबा से जुड़े अकबरपुर, फर्रुखाबाद, लखनऊ और वृंदावन के प्रमुख स्थलों को एक आध्यात्मिक पर्यटन सर्किट में जोड़ेगी।
उत्तर प्रदेश में धार्मिक पर्यटन को एक नई दिशा देने की तैयारी है। राज्य सरकार नीब करौरी बाबा के जीवन और आध्यात्मिक विरासत से जुड़े विभिन्न स्थानों को एक संगठित पर्यटन मार्ग के रूप में विकसित करने जा रही है।
इसके साथ श्रद्धालुओं और पर्यटकों के लिए विशेष यात्रा योजनाएं भी शुरू की गई हैं।
इस योजना के तहत दो, तीन और पांच दिन की यात्राओं वाले पांच विशेष टूर पैकेज तैयार किए गए हैं।
पर्यटकों की मांग को देखते हुए इनका संचालन दिल्ली और लखनऊ से किया जाने की योजना है।
प्रस्तावित मार्ग में कई ऐसे स्थल आएंगे जिनका बाबा के जीवन से सीधा संबंध माना जाता है।
फिरोजाबाद का अकबरपुर गांव, फर्रुखाबाद का नीब करौरी बाबा आश्रम धाम मंदिर, लखनऊ का हनुमान सेतु मंदिर और वृंदावन का समाधि मंदिर इस सर्किट के प्रमुख पड़ाव होंगे।
इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य केवल श्रद्धालुओं को एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक पहुंचाना नहीं है।
पर्यटन विभाग संबंधित इलाकों में सुविधाएं विकसित कर रहा है, ताकि बाबा से जुड़े स्थलों की यात्रा को एक व्यापक आध्यात्मिक पर्यटन अनुभव में बदला जा सके।
बाबा की जीवन यात्रा को देखें तो अकबरपुर इस पहल का स्वाभाविक शुरुआती बिंदु बनता है।
उनका जन्म नाम लक्ष्मण नारायण शर्मा था और उनका जन्म करीब 1900 में उत्तर प्रदेश के अकबरपुर गांव में हुआ माना जाता है।
भगवान हनुमान के भक्त के रूप में उनकी पहचान आगे चलकर एक आध्यात्मिक गुरु के रूप में बनी।
फर्रुखाबाद का आश्रम भी उनकी साधना से जुड़ी महत्वपूर्ण स्मृति अपने भीतर समेटे हुए है। मान्यता है कि बाबा ने यहां एक भूमिगत गुफा में लगभग
12 वर्षों तक ध्यान किया था। इस कारण प्रस्तावित सर्किट में इस स्थान को विशेष महत्व दिया गया है।
उनकी आध्यात्मिक यात्रा का अंतिम प्रमुख पड़ाव वृंदावन रहा। समाधि मंदिर उस स्थान से जुड़ा है जहां बाबा की सितंबर 1973 में महासमाधि लेने की मान्यता है।
उनका निधन 11 सितंबर 1973 को वृंदावन में हुआ था।
समय बीतने के बावजूद बाबा की लोकप्रियता और उनके अनुयायियों का दायरा बना हुआ है।
उत्तराखंड का कैंची धाम उनके नाम से जुड़े सबसे प्रसिद्ध आध्यात्मिक स्थलों में शामिल है और देश-विदेश से श्रद्धालु वहां पहुंचते हैं।
उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने अब बाबा से जुड़े राज्य के स्थलों के विकास के लिए बुनियादी ढांचे पर भी जोर दिया है।
फिरोजाबाद और फर्रुखाबाद में पर्यटन सुविधाओं तथा आधारभूत ढांचे के विकास के लिए 12.93 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं।
योजना के पहले चरण में 8.65 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए जा चुके हैं। वहीं दूसरे चरण की 2.22 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजना का 60 प्रतिशत से अधिक काम पूरा हो चुका है।
शेष कार्य दिसंबर तक पूरा किए जाने की उम्मीद है।
अकबरपुर में पर्यटन को स्थानीय स्तर पर बढ़ावा देने की भी तैयारी है। यहां 55.44 लाख रुपये की ग्रामीण पर्यटन परियोजना शुरू करने की योजना बनाई गई है।
इससे बाबा के जन्मस्थान को आसपास के ग्रामीण क्षेत्र की पर्यटन गतिविधियों के साथ जोड़ने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।
फर्रुखाबाद में आश्रम के विकास का काम भी अलग से किया गया है। 1.51 करोड़ रुपये की लागत वाली नीब करौरी आश्रम विकास परियोजना पूरी हो चुकी है, जिससे वहां आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं के लिए सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।
बाबा से जुड़ी इस नई पर्यटन योजना की घोषणा ऐसे समय हुई है जब उनके जीवन पर आधारित फिल्म को लेकर भी लोगों की दिलचस्पी बढ़ी है।
मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने बुधवार को हनुमान अंश फिल्म की टीम से मुलाकात की थी। यह फिल्म नीब करौरी बाबा के जीवन पर आधारित है।
महासमाधि दिवस के अवसर पर पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति मंत्री जयवीर सिंह ने बाबा के संदेश को याद किया।
उन्होंने कहा कि आस्था, सादगी और सेवा पर आधारित उनकी शिक्षाएं आज भी भारत के अलावा दुनिया के कई हिस्सों में लोगों को प्रेरित करती हैं।
पर्यटन विभाग के अपर मुख्य सचिव एवं महानिदेशक अमृत अभिजात के अनुसार, प्रस्तावित सर्किट उत्तर प्रदेश के आध्यात्मिक पर्यटन क्षेत्र में एक नया आयाम जोड़ सकता है।
उनका कहना है कि बाबा से जुड़े प्रमुख स्थलों को एक साथ जोड़ने से श्रद्धालुओं और पर्यटकों के लिए वहां पहुंचना अधिक सुविधाजनक होगा।
नई यात्रा योजनाओं और स्थल विकास की परियोजनाओं को साथ लेकर राज्य सरकार अब नीब करौरी बाबा से जुड़े स्थलों को एक अलग पहचान देने की दिशा में आगे बढ़ रही है।
इससे अकबरपुर, फर्रुखाबाद और वृंदावन जैसे स्थानों को एक साझा आध्यात्मिक पर्यटन अनुभव के तहत देखने का अवसर मिल सकेगा।
