Sohail Khan Opens Up About Childhood Sexual Abuse on ‘Alliance’, Urges Children to Speak Without Fear
Mumbai: Actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan shared one of the most emotional moments of his life on the reality show Alliance, revealing that he was sexually abused during his childhood but remained silent about the incident for many years.
His candid disclosure has sparked conversations about the importance of breaking the silence surrounding child abuse and encouraging victims to speak out.
During a conversation with fellow contestants Arslan Goni, Ruhee Dosani and Aly Goni, Sohail spoke strongly against ragging and all forms of bullying.
Stressing the importance of open communication within families, he said he has always advised his children never to suppress their feelings or hesitate to report any form of harassment or intimidation.
Reflecting on his own painful experience, Sohail revealed that he carried the trauma in silence throughout his childhood.
It was only after becoming an adult that he found the courage to confide in his father.
Recalling that conversation, he said his father was saddened that he had kept such a painful experience hidden for so many years.
Sohail admitted that although he was not at fault, he felt embarrassed and ashamed to speak about it, a feeling many survivors often struggle with.
He added that this experience has strengthened his resolve to ensure his own children feel safe enough to share everything with him, regardless of the circumstances.
The episode also captured another deeply emotional moment when Sohail became tearful while speaking about his family.
During his interaction with host Kunal Kemmu, he admitted that being away from his loved ones had been emotionally challenging.
Although he has previously hosted and judged reality shows, Sohail said participating as a contestant gave him an entirely new perspective.
According to him, Alliance taught him lessons about resilience, emotions, and human relationships that he had never experienced in his 55 years of life.
Adding another emotional layer to the reality series, Sohail was recently reunited with his former wife, Seema Sajdeh, who entered the competition as a wildcard contestant.

मुंबई: अभिनेता और फिल्म निर्माता सोहेल खान ने रियलिटी शो ‘अलायंस’ में अपने जीवन के सबसे दर्दनाक अनुभवों में से एक साझा करते हुए खुलासा किया कि बचपन में उनका यौन शोषण हुआ था।
उन्होंने बताया कि इस घटना का दर्द उन्होंने वर्षों तक अपने भीतर दबाए रखा और वयस्क होने के बाद ही पहली बार अपने पिता को इसके बारे में बताया। उनके इस खुलासे ने बाल यौन शोषण जैसे संवेदनशील मुद्दे पर खुलकर बात करने की आवश्यकता को एक बार फिर सामने ला दिया है।
सह-प्रतिभागियों अरसलान गोनी, रुही दोसानी और अली गोनी से बातचीत के दौरान सोहेल ने रैगिंग और किसी भी प्रकार की बदमाशी का कड़ा विरोध किया।
उन्होंने कहा कि वह हमेशा अपने बच्चों को यह समझाते हैं कि यदि कभी कोई उन्हें डराए, परेशान करे या उनके साथ गलत व्यवहार करे, तो वे बिना झिझक तुरंत परिवार को इसकी जानकारी दें।
अपने अनुभव को याद करते हुए सोहेल ने बताया कि बचपन की उस घटना के बाद उन्होंने लंबे समय तक किसी से कुछ नहीं कहा। बड़े होने पर जब उन्होंने अपने पिता से पूरी बात साझा की, तो उनके पिता ने अफसोस जताया कि उन्होंने इतने वर्षों तक यह पीड़ा अकेले सहन की।
सोहेल ने स्वीकार किया कि गलती उनकी नहीं थी, फिर भी उन्हें शर्म और संकोच महसूस होता रहा। उन्होंने कहा कि इसी अनुभव ने उन्हें यह सीख दी कि उनके अपने बच्चे कभी भी किसी डर या झिझक के कारण अपनी बात छिपाकर न रखें और हर परिस्थिति में उनसे खुलकर बात करें।
एपिसोड के दौरान एक और भावुक क्षण तब आया जब परिवार का जिक्र करते हुए सोहेल की आंखें भर आईं। होस्ट कुणाल खेमू से बातचीत में उन्होंने कहा कि अपनों से दूर रहना उनके लिए आसान नहीं रहा।

सोहेल के अनुसार, ‘अलायंस’ ने उन्हें जीवन के ऐसे सबक सिखाए हैं जो उन्होंने अपने 55 वर्षों के जीवन में पहले कभी नहीं सीखे थे।
