Telangana Student Among Three Killed in Florida Car Crash While Travelling to Part-Time Job
Three students, including Telangana native N Rahul, died after their car crashed into a tree on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, Florida, while they were heading to a part-time job.
N Rahul, a native of Nizamabad who had completed his master’s degree and enrolled for a PhD in the US, died after the car carrying the three students struck a tree on Interstate 95.
A student from Telangana was among three young Indians who died after their car met with a serious accident in Florida, leaving his family in Nizamabad devastated and waiting for his body to be brought back home.
The accident occurred on Tuesday in Brevard County when the vehicle carrying the three students crashed into a tree along Interstate 95.
The group was reportedly on its way to a part-time workplace when the accident took place.
One of the victims was N Rahul, a resident of Navipet in Telangana’s Nizamabad district.
His father, Haribabu, said Rahul had completed his MS degree in the United States and had recently enrolled for a PhD programme at the University of South Florida. He was also looking for a job while continuing his academic journey.
According to the information received by the family, the driver and another student travelling in the front seat died at the scene.
Rahul was taken to a hospital after the crash but later succumbed to his injuries.
For Rahul’s family, the tragedy was made even more painful by the final conversation he had with his mother shortly before the accident.
Haribabu said Rahul had called home on Tuesday morning, as he usually did before leaving for work.
During the call, he reportedly told his mother that his friends had arrived to pick him up and ended the conversation.
His family would later learn that the journey had ended in tragedy.
Haribabu said the family was informed about the accident in the early hours of the morning and is now seeking the earliest possible repatriation of Rahul’s mortal remains.
“We do not need anything else. We only want his body to be brought home as soon as possible so that we can perform his last rites,” the grieving father said.
Officials associated with the Telugu Association of North America are reportedly coordinating with authorities in Florida to complete the required formalities for the repatriation of the bodies.
The identities of the other two students killed in the crash had not yet been disclosed to Rahul’s family, according to his father.
Rahul, who had pursued higher education in the United States and was preparing for the next phase of his career, remained closely connected to his family in Telangana.
His father said he regularly called home, often speaking to his family before heading out for his part-time work.
The accident has once again drawn attention to the vulnerability of Indian students living abroad, where many balance demanding academic schedules with part-time employment while staying thousands of kilometres away from their families.

तेलंगाना के एक परिवार पर उस समय दुखों का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा, जब अमेरिका में पढ़ाई कर रहे उनके बेटे की फ्लोरिडा में सड़क दुर्घटना के बाद मौत हो गई।
इस हादसे में कार में सवार कुल तीन छात्रों की जान चली गई।
मृतकों में निजामाबाद जिले के नविपेट निवासी एन राहुल भी शामिल थे। हादसा मंगलवार को फ्लोरिडा के ब्रेवार्ड काउंटी में इंटरस्टेट 95 पर हुआ, जहां छात्रों को ले जा रही कार सड़क किनारे एक पेड़ से टकरा गई।
तीनों छात्र पार्ट-टाइम काम के लिए जा रहे थे। दुर्घटना इतनी गंभीर थी कि कार चला रहे छात्र और आगे की सीट पर बैठे दूसरे व्यक्ति की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।
राहुल को गंभीर हालत में अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, लेकिन बाद में उन्होंने भी दम तोड़ दिया।
राहुल अमेरिका में उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त कर रहे थे। उनके पिता हरिबाबू ने बताया कि बेटे ने एमएस की पढ़ाई पूरी कर ली थी और अब दक्षिण फ्लोरिडा विश्वविद्यालय में पीएचडी के लिए दाखिला लिया था।
वह अपने करियर के लिए नौकरी की संभावनाएं भी तलाश रहे थे।
हादसे से कुछ समय पहले राहुल ने अपनी मां से फोन पर बात की थी। पिता के अनुसार, राहुल रोज की तरह घर पर संपर्क करते थे और उस दिन भी उन्होंने मां से बातचीत की थी।
परिवार के मुताबिक, कुछ देर बाद राहुल ने बताया कि उनके दोस्त उन्हें लेने पहुंच गए हैं और इसके बाद फोन रख दिया। परिजनों के लिए यह उनके बेटे से हुई आखिरी बातचीत साबित हुई।
हरिबाबू ने बताया कि परिवार को हादसे की सूचना तड़के करीब तीन बजे मिली। बेटे की मौत की खबर के बाद पूरा परिवार गहरे सदमे में है।
उन्होंने सरकार से केवल इतना अनुरोध किया है कि राहुल का पार्थिव शरीर जल्द से जल्द भारत पहुंचाने में मदद की जाए, ताकि परिवार अपने बेटे का अंतिम संस्कार कर सके।
उधर, तेलुगु एसोसिएशन ऑफ नॉर्थ अमेरिका के पदाधिकारी फ्लोरिडा के स्थानीय अधिकारियों के संपर्क में हैं।
संगठन की ओर से आवश्यक औपचारिकताएं पूरी कर मृतकों के शव भारत भेजने की प्रक्रिया में सहायता की जा रही है।
राहुल के पिता ने कहा कि उन्हें हादसे में मारे गए अन्य दो छात्रों की पहचान के बारे में अभी पूरी जानकारी नहीं मिली है।
एक तरफ परिवार राहुल की पार्थिव देह के भारत आने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है, वहीं दूसरी तरफ घर में उनके आखिरी फोन की यादें रह गई हैं।
उच्च शिक्षा और बेहतर भविष्य के सपने लेकर अमेरिका गए राहुल की जिंदगी एक ऐसे सफर में समाप्त हो गई, जिस पर निकलने से कुछ देर पहले उन्होंने अपने घरवालों से सामान्य बातचीत की थी।
इस दर्दनाक हादसे ने एक बार फिर विदेशों में पढ़ाई कर रहे भारतीय छात्रों के परिवारों के सामने आने वाली उस कठिन सच्चाई को उजागर किया है, जहां हजारों किलोमीटर दूर रहने वाले बच्चों की सुरक्षा और जीवन की खबरें परिवारों तक अक्सर अचानक और बेहद दुखद परिस्थितियों में पहुंचती हैं।
