Three Dead in Lucknow Neighbourhood Shooting; Police Probe Fatal Row Over Parking
Lucknow: A family in Lucknow was devastated on Monday morning when a confrontation with a neighbour ended in the deaths of three of its members.
Police said a dispute involving a car parked outside a residence in the city’s old quarter preceded a shooting in which a father, his brother and his son were fatally wounded.
The deceased were identified as Shivaji Tiwari, 63, his brother Shivendra Tiwari, 54, and Shivaji’s son Suyash, 29. The alleged shooter, Rishabh Shukla, 34, was arrested at the location, according to the police.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.30 am. Investigators are examining the confrontation and the circumstances in which a disagreement between neighbours allegedly ended in a triple killing.
Disagreement over a vehicle preceded the shooting.
The initial account from police suggests that the confrontation began when a member of the Tiwari household left a car parked outside the family’s home. Shukla, who lived in the neighbourhood, reportedly objected to its presence.
The exchange became increasingly hostile, according to an eyewitness account cited in reports. The accused allegedly went indoors during the argument and returned with a pistol before firing at the three men.
The witness claimed that the gunfire continued until the pistol’s magazine was empty. Police are working to establish the precise sequence of events and determine whether anything else contributed to the escalation.

The shooting left little opportunity for the victims to receive medical help. Shivaji and Shivendra died where they were shot, Police Commissioner Tarun Gauba said.
Suyash was still alive when he was taken to a hospital, but his injuries proved fatal. His death brought the number of victims from the same family to three.
The police are collecting witness accounts and examining evidence from the scene as part of the investigation.
The incident has also raised questions about the availability of an allegedly illegal firearm and the circumstances surrounding its use.
Accused held without leaving the scene
Unlike cases in which suspects disappear after a shooting, Shukla remained at the location and was taken into custody there, officials said.
He is being questioned to establish what happened before, during, and after the firing.
Police have described the weapon allegedly used in the attack as an illegal pistol.
Investigators are seeking to determine how it came into the accused’s possession and are examining evidence to support the case.
No confirmed details have yet been provided about whether the neighbours had a history of disputes.
Police are continuing to investigate the motive rather than treating the parking disagreement as the only established explanation for the violence.
Merchant Navy connection yet to be verified
Questions have also emerged about the accused’s occupation. Some reports have described Shukla as a Merchant Navy employee, but the Police Commissioner said officials were still checking this information.
Residents reportedly told investigators that Shukla was frequently at home. Police said his employment and other background details would be established through questioning and verification.
The investigation remains focused on reconstructing the events that led to the deaths, verifying the accounts of those present and determining the circumstances surrounding the firearm.
The police have not yet announced any additional confirmed motive beyond the reported dispute.

घर के सामने खड़ी कार को लेकर बढ़ा तनाव
पुलिस की शुरुआती जानकारी के अनुसार, विवाद तब शुरू हुआ जब तिवारी परिवार के एक सदस्य ने अपने घर के बाहर कार खड़ी की। पास में रहने वाले ऋषभ शुक्ला ने इस पर आपत्ति जताई।
प्रत्यक्षदर्शी के हवाले से सामने आई जानकारी के मुताबिक, बहस के दौरान तनाव बढ़ता गया। आरोप है कि इसी बीच शुक्ला अपने घर के भीतर गया और पिस्तौल लेकर बाहर आया। इसके बाद उसने तीनों लोगों पर गोलियां चला दीं।
एक प्रत्यक्षदर्शी ने बताया कि आरोपी ने तब तक फायरिंग की, जब तक पिस्तौल की मैगजीन खाली नहीं हो गई। पुलिस अब गवाहों के बयान और अन्य साक्ष्यों के आधार पर घटनाक्रम का सही क्रम स्थापित करने की कोशिश कर रही है।
दो लोगों की मौके पर मौत, बेटे को भी नहीं बचाया जा सका
गोली लगने से शिवाजी तिवारी और उनके भाई शिवेंद्र की घटनास्थल पर ही मौत हो गई। लखनऊ के पुलिस आयुक्त तरुण गौबा ने इसकी जानकारी दी।
शिवाजी के बेटे सुयश को घायल अवस्था में अस्पताल पहुंचाया गया, लेकिन उपचार के दौरान उनकी भी मृत्यु हो गई। इस तरह एक ही परिवार के तीन लोगों की जान चली गई।
पुलिस घटनास्थल से जुड़े साक्ष्य जुटाने के साथ उन लोगों से पूछताछ कर रही है, जिन्होंने विवाद और गोलीबारी को देखा था। जांच का एक अहम पहलू यह भी है कि आरोपी के पास कथित अवैध हथियार कैसे पहुंचा।
मौके पर ही पुलिस की गिरफ्त में आया आरोपी
पुलिस के अनुसार, गोलीबारी के बाद ऋषभ शुक्ला घटनास्थल से भागा नहीं और उसे वहीं गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। फिलहाल उससे पूछताछ की जा रही है, ताकि हमले से पहले और बाद की घटनाओं के बारे में स्पष्ट जानकारी मिल सके।
