Two young men lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur Highway in the early hours of Tuesday after their motorcycle rammed into a DJ vehicle near Pachdevara.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the bike was completely mangled, while both riders suffered fatal head injuries and died on the spot.

According to police, the accident took place around 1 am. After the collision, the driver of the DJ vehicle fled the scene along with the vehicle, leaving the victims behind.

The deceased were identified as 25-year-old Ashish, a resident of Kauwa village in Karchhana, and 24-year-old Shivanand Kesarwani, a resident of Triveni Nagar.

Ashish had been living with his family in a rented accommodation at Sarpathiya in Naini. Both worked as cooks at weddings and catering events.
