UPPSC RO/ARO 2026 Notification Expected Soon, Higher Vacancy Count Raises Aspirants’ Hopes
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is expected to release the long-awaited notification for the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Examination 2026 shortly.
The recruitment process is likely to cover 92 posts in the UP Secretariat and 267 vacancies across various state departments, taking the total number of advertised positions to 359.
In addition, 69 RO/ARO posts in the Uttar Pradesh Board of Revenue may also be included, increasing the overall vacancy count further.
The state government has already completed the recruitment process for key positions such as Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Special Secretary under the annual recruitment calendar.
With these appointments concluded, the government is now expected to move ahead with fresh recruitment for RO and ARO posts.
Aspirants are hopeful that the official notification could be issued soon, as preparations for the process are believed to be in the final stages.
The expected rise in the number of vacancies has generated fresh optimism among candidates preparing for the examination.
Many aspirants consider the RO/ARO recruitment one of the most sought-after opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, and an increase in posts is likely to improve their chances of selection.
Previous recruitment data also reflects the examination’s popularity. The RO/ARO 2023 notification had invited applications from 10,76,004 candidates for 419 vacancies, making it one of the largest competitive recruitment drives conducted by the commission.
The final result of the RO/ARO 2023 examination was declared on April 5 this year.

उत्तर प्रदेश लोक सेवा आयोग (यूपीपीएससी) की ओर से समीक्षा अधिकारी (आरओ) और सहायक समीक्षा अधिकारी (एआरओ) परीक्षा 2026 का बहुप्रतीक्षित विज्ञापन जल्द जारी होने की संभावना है।
प्रस्तावित भर्ती में उत्तर प्रदेश सचिवालय के 92 पदों के साथ विभिन्न राज्य विभागों के 267 रिक्त पदों को शामिल किए जाने की तैयारी है। इस तरह कुल 359 पदों पर भर्ती होने की उम्मीद है। इसके अलावा राजस्व परिषद के 69 आरओ/एआरओ पद भी इस भर्ती में जोड़े जा सकते हैं, जिससे कुल रिक्तियों की संख्या और बढ़ सकती है।
प्रदेश सरकार वार्षिक भर्ती कैलेंडर के तहत मुख्य सचिव, अपर मुख्य सचिव, प्रमुख सचिव और विशेष सचिव स्तर के पदों पर चयन प्रक्रिया पूरी कर चुकी है। अब प्रशासनिक तैयारियां पूरी होने के बाद आरओ और एआरओ भर्ती प्रक्रिया को आगे बढ़ाए जाने की संभावना जताई जा रही है।
प्रतियोगी परीक्षाओं की तैयारी कर रहे अभ्यर्थियों को उम्मीद है कि आयोग जल्द ही आधिकारिक अधिसूचना जारी करेगा।
संभावित रिक्तियों में बढ़ोतरी की खबर ने प्रतियोगी छात्रों के बीच नया उत्साह पैदा कर दिया है। आरओ/एआरओ परीक्षा को उत्तर प्रदेश की प्रतिष्ठित भर्तियों में गिना जाता है और अधिक पद उपलब्ध होने से चयन की संभावनाएं भी बढ़ने की उम्मीद है।
पिछले भर्ती आंकड़े भी इस परीक्षा की लोकप्रियता को दर्शाते हैं। आरओ/एआरओ 2023 के लिए जारी विज्ञापन में 419 पदों के विरुद्ध 10,76,004 अभ्यर्थियों ने आवेदन किया था, जो आयोग की सबसे बड़ी भर्ती प्रक्रियाओं में से एक रही। आरओ/एआरओ 2023 का अंतिम परिणाम इसी वर्ष 5 अप्रैल को घोषित किया गया था।
