Yogi Adityanath Announces ₹5 Lakh Cashless Treatment Cover for Practising Advocates in U.P
At Prayagraj event, Chief Minister also promises 400 tablets for law officers and support for facilities at High Court lawyers’ chambers
Prayagraj: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced a major welfare measure for practising advocates, saying lawyers actively appearing before the Allahabad High Court and district courts across the state will be entitled to cashless medical treatment of up to ₹5 lakh a year.
Addressing a felicitation programme organised by the High Court Bar Association at the High Court cricket ground in Prayagraj, Adityanath said the state government would extend full cooperation to proposals put forward by the judiciary and bar associations.
The Chief Minister also announced that 400 tablets would be provided to state law officers.
He further assured the legal fraternity that the government would assist in providing basic amenities in the newly constructed advocates’ chambers on the High Court premises.
Highlighting the scale of the infrastructure created for lawyers, Adityanath said facilities worth around ₹700 crore had been developed to cater to nearly 1,000 advocates.
The project includes lawyers’ chambers as well as a multi-level parking facility, dining hall, common room and library.
At the beginning of the programme, the Chief Minister formally handed over the keys to the newly constructed building to High Court Bar Association president Rakesh Pandey and general secretary Akhilesh Sharma.
Adityanath also referred to the government’s decision to strengthen financial assistance available under the advocates’ welfare fund.
According to him, the assistance payable from the fund has been increased from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh.
The Chief Minister said the government remained committed to supporting the legal community and would consider proposals concerning the welfare and infrastructure needs of advocates.

प्रयागराज: उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने सोमवार को अधिवक्ताओं के लिए बड़ी कल्याणकारी घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट और प्रदेश के जिला न्यायालयों में सक्रिय रूप से प्रैक्टिस करने वाले वकीलों को हर साल पांच लाख रुपये तक कैशलेस इलाज की सुविधा दी जाएगी।
प्रयागराज में हाईकोर्ट क्रिकेट मैदान पर आयोजित हाईकोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन के सम्मान समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि न्यायपालिका और बार एसोसिएशन की ओर से अधिवक्ताओं के हित में जो भी प्रस्ताव सरकार के सामने आएंगे, उन पर राज्य सरकार पूरी तरह सहयोग करेगी।
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने राज्य के विधि अधिकारियों के लिए 400 टैबलेट उपलब्ध कराने की घोषणा भी की।
इसके अलावा हाईकोर्ट परिसर में निर्मित अधिवक्ता चैंबरों में आवश्यक बुनियादी सुविधाएं विकसित करने में भी सरकार की ओर से सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि अधिवक्ताओं के लिए करीब 700 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से व्यापक सुविधाएं विकसित की गई हैं।
इस परियोजना में लगभग 1,000 वकीलों के लिए चैंबर, मल्टीलेवल पार्किंग, डायनिंग हॉल, कॉमन रूम और लाइब्रेरी जैसी सुविधाएं शामिल हैं।
समारोह की शुरुआत में मुख्यमंत्री ने नवनिर्मित भवन की चाबी हाईकोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष राकेश पांडे और महासचिव अखिलेश शर्मा को सौंपी।
योगी ने अधिवक्ता कल्याण निधि के तहत मिलने वाली आर्थिक सहायता में वृद्धि का भी उल्लेख किया। उन्होंने बताया कि सरकार ने इस सहायता राशि को 1.5 लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर पांच लाख रुपये कर दिया है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार अधिवक्ताओं के कल्याण से जुड़े मुद्दों और उनकी बुनियादी सुविधाओं की जरूरतों को लेकर सकारात्मक रुख रखती है तथा बार और न्यायपालिका की ओर से आने वाले प्रस्तावों पर आवश्यक सहयोग जारी रहेगा।
