Massive landslides in parts of Wayanad in Kerala killed atleast 50 persons and trapped around 100 persons on Tuesday.
Rescue and relief operation were swung in action following this calamity.
NDRF personnel, police and rescue teams were despatched to save lives of more people and help in saving lives of the trapped persons.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his deep sympathy to the victim families.
He immediately announced a sum of Rs two lakh to the family members of those who died and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
