A Junior resident doctor Kartikey Srivastava 27 was found dead in his car in the medical College parking lot. A syringe and two vials were also found lying next to him on the other front seat of the car.
Following a preliminary investigation, police feel that it was a case of suicide.
De Kartikey son of Krishna Kumar Srivastava was doing his second-year PG course.
The family hailed from the Apar Kalawad locality in Kotdwar Uttarakhand. The family had been living here in the city on Stanley Road. Police said the doctor skipped his duty on Saturday from 10 am. He was found dead in the car by some junior doctors late in the night around 10.30 pm. The doctors informed senior doctors and the police also came in to investigate the issue.
DCP City Abhishek Bharti said it was a bit early to make any comments. The post-mortem report will make the picture clear
