Farrukhabad Child Death Mystery Solved: Father Arrested for Allegedly Killing Daughter, False Stone-Pelting Story Exposed
An investigation into the death of a one-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad has taken a shocking turn, with police alleging that the child’s father orchestrated an elaborate false narrative to implicate his neighbours after allegedly killing his own daughter.
What initially appeared to be a case of fatal stone-pelting has now emerged as an alleged murder committed within the family.
Developments in the case gathered pace after a bereaved father arrived at the local police station last Thursday, accusing four residents of his village of attacking his home with stones and bricks.
He claimed that one of the projectiles had struck his infant daughter, causing her death, and alleged that the accused had also threatened him against approaching the police because of a long-standing dispute between the families.
Subsequent medical findings, however, dramatically altered the course of the investigation.
The post-mortem examination established that the child had died due to strangulation and not because of any impact caused by stones.
Doctors reportedly found no injuries on the girl’s body that could support the version narrated in the complaint.
Acting on the fresh evidence, police arrested Bablu alias Dablu, a resident of Gaugaura village, on Saturday.
Officials said both Bablu and the neighbour whom he had sought to implicate belong to the Jatav community.
Sharing details of the investigation, Kamalganj Station House Officer Ram Sahay Singh said the accused eventually admitted during interrogation that he had himself killed his daughter before attempting to shift the blame onto a neighbour with whom he had an old rivalry.
According to the officer, the confession followed sustained questioning after inconsistencies began surfacing in the original complaint.
Scrutiny of the allegations revealed several glaring contradictions. Investigators found that the four individuals named in the First Information Report were not present near the scene when the alleged incident supposedly occurred.
Police also failed to find any independent witness from the locality who could confirm that a confrontation or stone-pelting had taken place.
The inquiry further uncovered an earlier dispute between the two families.
About a week before the child’s death, one of the accused neighbours, Surendra, had lodged a complaint accusing Bablu and his two brothers of assaulting his sibling.
The previous case strengthened investigators’ suspicion that the allegations may have been motivated by personal enmity.
Medical evidence continued to weaken the father’s version.
Doctors who conducted the autopsy reported that the child bore no external injuries typically associated with being hit by stones or bricks, effectively ruling out the sequence of events described in the complaint.
Faced with mounting evidence, Bablu was brought in for detailed questioning on Saturday. During the interrogation, police said he broke down and confessed to strangling his daughter.
He allegedly disclosed that the child had been suffering from severe malnutrition for a prolonged period and that her condition had failed to improve despite continuous medical treatment.
Investigators said the accused further revealed that he had borrowed money to meet the expenses of his daughter’s treatment and had become heavily indebted.
Crushed by financial hardship and emotional pressure, he allegedly took the extreme step of killing the child before fabricating the story of a stone-pelting attack in an attempt to mislead investigators and falsely implicate neighbours with whom he had a long-standing feud.

उत्तर प्रदेश के फर्रुखाबाद में एक वर्षीय बच्ची की मौत के मामले ने जांच के दौरान ऐसा अप्रत्याशित मोड़ लिया, जिसने पूरे घटनाक्रम को उलट कर रख दिया।
जिस मामले को शुरुआत में पत्थरबाजी से हुई मौत बताया गया था, पुलिस अब उसे पिता द्वारा रची गई कथित हत्या और झूठी साजिश का मामला मान रही है।
घटनाक्रम की शुरुआत पिछले गुरुवार को हुई, जब अपनी बेटी की मौत से व्यथित एक पिता स्थानीय थाने पहुंचा और चार पड़ोसियों पर उसके घर पर पत्थर और ईंटें फेंकने का आरोप लगाया।
शिकायत में कहा गया कि फेंका गया एक पत्थर बच्ची को लगा, जिससे उसकी मौत हो गई। उसने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि पुरानी रंजिश के चलते आरोपियों ने पुलिस में शिकायत करने पर अंजाम भुगतने की धमकी दी थी।
मामले की दिशा उस समय पूरी तरह बदल गई, जब पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट सामने आई। चिकित्सकों ने स्पष्ट किया कि बच्ची की मौत गला दबाने से हुई थी।
रिपोर्ट में कहीं भी ऐसे चोट के निशान नहीं मिले जो पत्थर या ईंट लगने की बात की पुष्टि कर सकें।
इन्हीं निष्कर्षों के आधार पर पुलिस ने शनिवार को गगौरा गांव निवासी बबलू उर्फ डबलू को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। अधिकारियों के अनुसार, बबलू और वह पड़ोसी, जिसे उसने नामजद किया था, दोनों जाटव समुदाय से हैं।
कायमगंज थाने के प्रभारी निरीक्षक राम सहाय सिंह ने बताया कि गहन पूछताछ के दौरान आरोपी ने स्वीकार किया कि उसने स्वयं अपनी बेटी की हत्या की और बाद में पुराने विवाद का बदला लेने के उद्देश्य से पड़ोसी को फंसाने की कोशिश की।
पुलिस के अनुसार, शुरुआती शिकायत में सामने आई विसंगतियों ने जांच को नई दिशा दी।
जांच अधिकारियों को सबसे पहले यह पता चला कि प्राथमिकी में नामजद चारों लोग कथित घटना के समय घटनास्थल के आसपास मौजूद ही नहीं थे।
इसके अलावा गांव का कोई भी व्यक्ति इस बात की पुष्टि नहीं कर सका कि उस दिन दोनों पक्षों के बीच कोई झगड़ा या पत्थरबाजी हुई थी।
तफ्तीश के दौरान दोनों परिवारों के बीच पहले से चल रहे विवाद का भी खुलासा हुआ।
पुलिस को जानकारी मिली कि बच्ची की मौत से लगभग एक सप्ताह पहले नामजद पड़ोसी सुरेन्द्र ने बबलू और उसके दो भाइयों के खिलाफ अपने भाई के साथ मारपीट करने का मामला दर्ज कराया था।
इससे पुलिस को यह संदेह और मजबूत हुआ कि शिकायत पुरानी दुश्मनी से प्रेरित हो सकती है।
पोस्टमार्टम करने वाले चिकित्सकों ने भी अपनी रिपोर्ट में स्पष्ट किया कि बच्ची के शरीर पर पत्थर या ईंट से चोट लगने जैसे कोई बाहरी निशान मौजूद नहीं थे।
इस चिकित्सीय साक्ष्य ने पिता की पूरी कहानी को संदेह के घेरे में ला दिया।
बढ़ते सबूतों के बीच शनिवार को पुलिस ने बबलू से विस्तृत पूछताछ की। अधिकारियों के अनुसार, पूछताछ के दौरान वह टूट गया और उसने अपनी बेटी का गला दबाकर हत्या करने की बात स्वीकार कर ली।
उसने बताया कि बच्ची लंबे समय से गंभीर कुपोषण से जूझ रही थी और इलाज के बावजूद उसकी सेहत में कोई सुधार नहीं हो रहा था।
पुलिस का कहना है कि आरोपी ने यह भी बताया कि बेटी के इलाज के लिए उसने कई लोगों से उधार लिया था, जिससे वह कर्ज के बोझ तले दब गया।
आर्थिक तंगी और मानसिक तनाव से घिरकर उसने कथित तौर पर बच्ची की जान ले ली और बाद में पड़ोसियों से पुरानी दुश्मनी निकालने तथा खुद को बचाने के लिए पत्थरबाजी की झूठी कहानी गढ़ दी।
