CM Yogi Performs Ganga Aarti at Sangam Floating Jetty, New Digital Services Announced for Devotees

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed the Ganga Aarti at the newly developed floating jetty at Sangam in Prayagraj, marking another step in the government’s efforts to promote religious tourism and improve facilities for pilgrims and visitors.

The event created a spiritually vibrant atmosphere along the Sangam riverfront as devotees gathered to witness the grand evening ceremony.

Officials described the initiative as part of a broader plan to enhance the spiritual experience for tourists while also strengthening Prayagraj’s cultural and religious identity.

Authorities announced that a grand and visually appealing Ganga Aarti will now be held every evening at the Sangam area.

The daily ceremony is expected to become a major attraction for devotees and tourists visiting the city.

In a significant digital initiative, the Mela Authority also launched a dedicated website aimed at providing easier access to information related to events and religious activities taking place near the Sangam.

Through the platform, visitors will be able to receive updates about programmes, facilities, and important announcements.

Officials said the website will include online booking services for aarti participation, boats, and priests.

Devotees will also be able to arrange online puja services and make bookings for rituals in advance, similar to services available at major pilgrimage destinations such as Haridwar, Ujjain, and Varanasi.

According to Prayagraj Development Authority Vice Chairman Arvind Chauhan, the digital platform has been designed to make pilgrimage management more organized and convenient for visitors.

He said the initiative would help improve crowd management and offer a smoother experience to devotees coming to the Sangam.

The Chief Minister also visited the newly built Bade Hanuman Temple corridor during his trip and reviewed ongoing development work in the area. Officials stated that efforts are being made to modernize facilities while preserving the spiritual and traditional character of the holy city.

The website will additionally provide details about religious events, routes, parking arrangements, security services, emergency contact numbers, and connectivity options around the Sangam region.

Authorities believe the digital system will make travel and participation in religious activities more accessible and better organized for pilgrims from across the country.
