Fresh Death Threat Emerges in Ankit Baliyan Murder Case; Police Examine Gang Links
A social-media clip posted in the name of an absconding suspect has triggered a cyber probe, while investigators pursue possible links between jailed gang associates and the singer’s killing.
A new threat circulating online has emerged as a significant point of inquiry for investigators handling the murder of Haryanvi singer Ankit Baliyan.
The recording, which threatens two individuals with death, is being examined by Shamli Police for possible connections with the network suspected of involvement in the killing.
The digital trail has led investigators to an account bearing the name of Satyam, one of the accused in the shooting. Police have found indications that the material was uploaded from outside India.
The cyber wing is now attempting to establish the circumstances in which the video was created and circulated.
Shamli Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh said the authenticity and origin of the material were being examined.
Authorities have meanwhile taken additional security measures at Baliyan’s residence in Muzaffarnagar following the emergence of the threat.
The investigation has also widened to include suspects who are already in prison.
Police are examining the alleged involvement of Rohit Rana, known as Rohit Moi, who is lodged in Tihar Jail, and Rakesh alias Pampu, who is being held in Karnal Jail.
Investigators suspect that the two may have continued to influence the Jitender Gogi gang despite being incarcerated.
Police further allege that they could have worked with a gangster identified as Rahul in arranging the attack on Baliyan.
The custody of Rakesh is now expected to provide investigators with an opportunity for direct questioning.
Shamli Police have secured a production remand from a local court and are preparing to bring him to Uttar Pradesh for interrogation.
Rakesh, however, has approached the authorities over the manner in which he should be transported.
In a representation submitted through his lawyer to police officials in Shamli and Karnal and to the Haryana prison administration, he has sought extensive safeguards during the journey.
Among his requests are continuous video recording of the transfer, wherever legally allowed, and an armed escort for the vehicle.
He has also asked that any use of handcuffs or leg restraints be governed strictly by applicable law and judicial directions.
A senior police officer confirmed that the representation had reached the authorities and was under consideration.
Investigators are also expected to seek judicial permission to question Rohit Moi, whose alleged connection to the case remains under examination.
Meanwhile, the search continues for Satyam and another accused, Aryan.
Both are from Karnal and are alleged by police to have links with the Gogi gang.
Authorities have announced a reward of ₹1 lakh for information leading to the arrest of each of the two men.
The case had already seen a major development before the latest threat surfaced.
Two alleged shooters connected with Baliyan’s killing were killed by police in an encounter last week, leaving investigators to pursue the remaining suspects and establish the wider chain behind the crime.
Police are also investigating whether a Haryanvi song featuring Baliyan became a trigger for the alleged attack.
The song Bhari Court Mein Goli Marenge Meri Jaan is being examined because investigators believe members of the Gogi gang interpreted its lyrics as a taunt aimed at their slain leader, Jitender Gogi.
Gogi was killed inside a Delhi courtroom in 2021 by his rival Tillu Tajpuriya.
Police suspect that some members of the gang subsequently viewed Baliyan as being aligned with the Tillu faction and believed he had released the song in alleged coordination with that group.
These suspected links are now being examined alongside the digital threat and the roles allegedly played by people inside and outside prison.
Police have not yet disclosed the final findings of the investigation into the video or established a definitive link between its circulation and the murder case.

हरियाणवी गायक अंकित बालियान की हत्या की जांच के बीच सोशल मीडिया पर सामने आया एक कथित धमकी वाला वीडियो पुलिस के लिए नई जांच कड़ी बन गया है।
वीडियो में दो अन्य लोगों को जान से मारने की धमकी दिए जाने की बात सामने आई है। शामली पुलिस अब इसके पीछे मौजूद लोगों और हत्याकांड के बीच संभावित संबंध तलाश रही है।
जांच में पता चला है कि यह वीडियो आरोपी शूटर सत्यम के नाम से अपलोड किया गया था और इसका डिजिटल स्रोत भारत के बाहर का बताया जा रहा है।
पुलिस की साइबर टीम अब यह पता लगाने में लगी है कि सामग्री किसने तैयार की, इसे किस उद्देश्य से जारी किया गया और इसके प्रसार में कौन लोग शामिल रहे।
शामली के पुलिस अधीक्षक नरेंद्र प्रताप सिंह के मुताबिक, साइबर विभाग वीडियो से जुड़ी तकनीकी जानकारी जुटा रहा है।
दूसरी ओर, धमकी सामने आने के बाद बालियान के मुजफ्फरनगर स्थित आवास पर सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बढ़ा दी गई है।
हत्याकांड की पड़ताल अब उन संदिग्धों तक भी पहुंच चुकी है जो अलग-अलग जेलों में बंद हैं।
पुलिस रोहित राणा उर्फ रोहित मोई और राकेश उर्फ पंपू की कथित भूमिका की जांच कर रही है। रोहित मोई तिहाड़ जेल में है, जबकि राकेश करनाल जेल में बंद है।
पुलिस का आरोप है कि जेल में रहने के बावजूद दोनों कथित तौर पर जितेंद्र गोगी गिरोह के संचालन को प्रभावित कर रहे थे।
जांच एजेंसियां इस संभावना को भी देख रही हैं कि उन्होंने गैंगस्टर राहुल के साथ मिलकर बालियान को निशाना बनाने की कथित योजना में भूमिका निभाई हो।
राकेश को उत्तर प्रदेश लाकर पूछताछ करने की दिशा में पुलिस ने कदम बढ़ा दिया है। शामली की अदालत से उसका प्रोडक्शन रिमांड हासिल किया जा चुका है।
अधिकारियों के अनुसार, उसे यूपी लाकर हत्याकांड से जुड़े पहलुओं पर पूछताछ की जा सकती है।
हालांकि, राकेश ने अपनी प्रस्तावित यात्रा के दौरान सुरक्षा को लेकर अलग से चिंता जताई है।
उसके वकील ने शामली और करनाल पुलिस के साथ हरियाणा के जेल महानिदेशक को पत्र भेजकर हिरासत में उसकी सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की है।
पत्र में यात्रा की पूरी प्रक्रिया की वीडियो रिकॉर्डिंग कराने का अनुरोध किया गया है, बशर्ते ऐसा करना कानूनन संभव हो।
राकेश ने जिस वाहन से उसे ले जाया जाए, उसके साथ सशस्त्र पुलिसकर्मियों की तैनाती की मांग भी की है।
उसने हाथों और पैरों में लगाए जाने वाले प्रतिबंधों के इस्तेमाल को भी कानून तथा न्यायिक दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुरूप रखने की बात कही है। उसका कहना है कि ट्रांजिट के दौरान उसकी सुरक्षा के लिए आवश्यक सभी कदम निर्धारित कानूनी प्रक्रिया के तहत उठाए जाएं।
एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी ने पत्र मिलने की पुष्टि की है। अधिकारी के अनुसार, इसकी जांच की जा रही है।
पुलिस रोहित मोई से पूछताछ के लिए अदालत से वारंट लेने की तैयारी भी कर रही है।
इस बीच, पुलिस की तलाश उन दो कथित शूटरों तक जारी है जो अभी गिरफ्त से बाहर हैं। सत्यम और आर्यन दोनों करनाल के रहने वाले बताए गए हैं और पुलिस के अनुसार उनका संबंध जितेंद्र गोगी गिरोह से है।
दोनों की गिरफ्तारी में मदद करने वाली सूचना पर एक-एक लाख रुपये का इनाम घोषित है।
हत्याकांड में पिछले सप्ताह दो अन्य कथित हमलावरों की पुलिस मुठभेड़ में मौत हो चुकी है।
इसके बाद जांच का फोकस केवल गोली चलाने वालों तक सीमित नहीं रहा, बल्कि कथित साजिश के पीछे मौजूद नेटवर्क की पड़ताल पर भी है।
बालियान से जुड़े एक हरियाणवी गीत को भी पुलिस जांच में अहम कड़ी के रूप में देख रही है।
भरी कोर्ट में गोली मारेंगे मेरी जान नामक गीत को लेकर जांचकर्ताओं का कहना है कि गोगी गिरोह के कुछ लोगों ने इसके बोल को अपने नेता की हत्या से जोड़कर देखा था।
जितेंद्र गोगी की 2021 में दिल्ली की अदालत के भीतर उसके प्रतिद्वंद्वी टिल्लू ताजपुरिया ने हत्या कर दी थी।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, इसके बाद गिरोह के कुछ सदस्यों को संदेह हुआ कि बालियान टिल्लू गुट के संपर्क में था और कथित तौर पर उसी के साथ मिलकर गीत जारी किया गया था।
धमकी वाले वीडियो, फरार आरोपियों और जेल में बंद संदिग्धों से जुड़ी इन सभी कड़ियों की अब एक साथ जांच की जा रही है।
पुलिस ने फिलहाल वीडियो के पीछे मौजूद व्यक्ति की अंतिम पहचान या उसके और बालियान हत्याकांड के बीच किसी निर्णायक संबंध की पुष्टि नहीं की है।
