Government Pushes Youth Development Agenda As Mandaviya Highlights Sports Reforms And Employment Initiatives

New Delhi: The Union Government has stepped up its focus on youth empowerment by expanding programmes aimed at improving employability, strengthening sports infrastructure, and increasing industry participation in skill development.

The initiatives are being driven by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports under Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, who has repeatedly stressed the importance of connecting young Indians with education, employment, entrepreneurship and sporting opportunities through institutional reforms and digital platforms.

One of the government’s flagship initiatives is the MY Bharat platform, which seeks to bring together young people,e industry organisations, educational institutions and volunteer networks on a common digital ecosystem.

According to the Ministry, the platform is intended to help young citizens access opportunities in volunteering, innovation,n leadership and career development while encouraging stronger partnerships between the government and the private sector.

Official statements from the Ministry also underline efforts to strengthen India’s sporting ecosystem through policy reforms, infrastructure development and scientific support for athletes.

Recent initiatives include measures to promote sports governance, expand high-performance training and improve institutional support for athletes across disciplines.

Addressing participants at the National Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament earlier this year, Mandaviya described India’s youth as the driving force behind the country’s long-term development aspirations.

He said young people would play a decisive role in transforming the vision of a developed India into reality through innovation, leadership and active participation in nation-building.

The Ministry has also intensified collaboration with industry bodies and corporate organisations to widen employment-linked opportunities for young people.

During the Industry Association Conclave organised by the Department of Youth Affairs, government representatives emphasised that closer engagement between industry and youth institutions could help create pathways for skill development internships, entrepreneurship and employment.

In parallel, the Labour and Employment Ministry continues to implement initiatives designed to strengthen workforce participation and improve employment services.

Government programmes aim to expand formal employment, promote skill development, and improve labour market access for workers across sectors.

The government’s youth strategy also extends beyond employment and sports. Recent official engagements have focused on encouraging volunteerism, public service leadership, and greater participation of young people in national development programmes through institutional platforms created by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

The government’s current policy direction indicates an effort to integrate youth development with employment generation, sports excellence and civic participation instead of treating these sectors separately.

नई दिल्ली: केंद्र सरकार ने युवाओं को विकास की मुख्यधारा से जोड़ने के उद्देश्य से रोजगार कौशल विकास खेल और नेतृत्व क्षमता से जुड़े कार्यक्रमों को तेज करने पर जोर दिया है।

श्रम एवं रोजगार तथा युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्री डॉ. मनसुख मंडाविया के नेतृत्व में मंत्रालय विभिन्न संस्थागत सुधारों और डिजिटल पहलों के माध्यम से युवाओं को नए अवसर उपलब्ध कराने की दिशा में काम कर रहा है।

सरकार की प्रमुख पहलों में शामिल माय भारत डिजिटल मंच का उद्देश्य युवाओं उद्योग जगत शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और स्वयंसेवी संगठनों को एक साझा मंच पर लाना है।

मंत्रालय के अनुसार यह प्लेटफॉर्म युवाओं को स्वयंसेवा नवाचार नेतृत्व और करियर से जुड़ी संभावनाओं से जोड़ने के साथ उद्योग और सरकार के बीच साझेदारी को भी मजबूत करेगा।

युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय ने खेल क्षेत्र में भी कई सुधारात्मक कदम शुरू किए हैं।

आधिकारिक जानकारी के अनुसार खेल प्रशासन को मजबूत बनाने खिलाड़ियों को वैज्ञानिक सहयोग उपलब्ध कराने उच्च प्रदर्शन प्रशिक्षण को बढ़ावा देने और खेल अवसंरचना के विस्तार पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है।

राष्ट्रीय स्तर के विकसित भारत युवा संसद कार्यक्रम में डॉ. मंडाविया ने कहा था कि विकसित भारत के लक्ष्य को साकार करने में देश के युवाओं की भूमिका सबसे महत्वपूर्ण होगी।

उन्होंने युवाओं से नवाचार नेतृत्व और राष्ट्र निर्माण में सक्रिय भागीदारी का आह्वान किया था।

युवा मामलों के विभाग द्वारा आयोजित इंडस्ट्री एसोसिएशन कॉन्क्लेव के दौरान भी सरकार ने उद्योग जगत और युवाओं के बीच सहयोग बढ़ाने पर जोर दिया।

मंत्रालय का मानना है कि इस प्रकार की साझेदारी से कौशल विकास इंटर्नशिप उद्यमिता और रोजगार के नए अवसर तैयार किए जा सकते हैं।

दूसरी ओर श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्रालय भी औपचारिक रोजगार बढ़ाने श्रमिकों की भागीदारी मजबूत करने और रोजगार सेवाओं को अधिक प्रभावी बनाने के लिए विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों पर काम कर रहा है। सरकार का उद्देश्य रोजगार सृजन और श्रम बाजार तक बेहतर पहुंच सुनिश्चित करना है।

सरकार की युवा नीति केवल रोजगार तक सीमित नहीं है। आधिकारिक कार्यक्रमों में स्वयंसेवा सामाजिक नेतृत्व और राष्ट्रीय विकास अभियानों में युवाओं की व्यापक भागीदारी को भी महत्वपूर्ण स्थान दिया जा रहा है।
