Kangana Ranaut Alleges Security Breach During Opposition Protest; Congress Faces Fresh BJP Attack Over PM Residence March
New Delhi: Political confrontation over the alleged NEET paper leak intensified on Wednesday after BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of attempting to lead protesters towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence.
This happened during the Opposition’s demonstration in the national capital, describing the move as a serious breach of security.
Addressing reporters, Ranaut alleged that while the protest had been organised at Janpath, Rahul Gandhi allegedly attempted to divert the demonstrators towards the Prime Minister’s residence.
She said such an action raised serious security concerns, particularly in view of the prevailing security environment, and termed the incident a matter of national importance.
Rejecting the Opposition’s demand for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resignation over the alleged NEET paper leak, the BJP MP defended the Centre’s response to the controversy.
She said the government had been taking all necessary steps to address the issue and questioned the demand for the Prime Minister’s resignation, asserting that the matter was being handled with seriousness.
Her remarks came a day after senior Congress leaders, led by Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge, staged a sit-in protest near the Prime Minister’s residence to protest against police action on students demonstrating over the alleged NEET paper leak and to demand political accountability.
During the demonstration, Delhi Police removed and detained several Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and other senior leaders.
The Congress protest also drew criticism from Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, who described the demonstration outside the Prime Minister’s residence as inconsistent with democratic conventions.
He said the Leader of the Opposition occupies a constitutional position and is expected to uphold the dignity and traditions associated with that office.
Referring to the alleged NEET paper leak controversy, Sai said the Central Government had acted promptly by initiating action against those accused of involvement in the examination irregularities.
He noted that Prime Minister Modi had described examination paper leaks as a grave offence and had assured strict legal action against all those found responsible.
Sai further stated that the government remained committed to strengthening transparency and credibility in the country’s examination system.
He pointed out that the re-examination had already been conducted and the results declared to ensure that students’ academic interests were protected.
Launching a fresh attack on the Congress, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister alleged that the party was attempting to create unrest among young people for political reasons.
He maintained that organising a protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence, a high-security zone with restricted access, was not in keeping with democratic norms and constitutional propriety.

नई दिल्ली: कथित NEET प्रश्नपत्र लीक मामले को लेकर सियासी टकराव बुधवार को और तेज हो गया।
भाजपा सांसद एवं अभिनेत्री कंगना रनौत ने कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी पर आरोप लगाया कि उन्होंने विपक्ष के प्रदर्शन के दौरान प्रदर्शनकारियों को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के आवास की ओर ले जाने का प्रयास किया।
उन्होंने इसे गंभीर सुरक्षा चूक बताते हुए राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा से जुड़ा संवेदनशील विषय करार दिया।
मीडिया से बातचीत में कंगना रनौत ने कहा कि प्रदर्शन का निर्धारित स्थल जनपथ था, लेकिन इसके बावजूद राहुल गांधी ने कथित रूप से भीड़ को प्रधानमंत्री आवास की दिशा में ले जाने की कोशिश की।
उनके अनुसार मौजूदा सुरक्षा परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए ऐसा कदम अत्यंत गंभीर है और इसकी व्यापक समीक्षा की जानी चाहिए।
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के इस्तीफे की कांग्रेस की मांग को खारिज करते हुए भाजपा सांसद ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार NEET विवाद से जुड़े प्रत्येक पहलू पर गंभीरता से कार्रवाई कर रही है।
उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार मामले के समाधान के लिए आवश्यक कदम उठा रही है और ऐसे में प्रधानमंत्री के इस्तीफे की मांग का कोई औचित्य नहीं है।
कंगना रनौत की यह प्रतिक्रिया उस प्रदर्शन के एक दिन बाद आई, जब कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी और पार्टी अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे के नेतृत्व में विपक्षी दलों ने प्रधानमंत्री आवास के निकट धरना देकर छात्रों पर पुलिस कार्रवाई और कथित NEET प्रश्नपत्र लीक मामले में जवाबदेही तय करने की मांग उठाई थी।
प्रदर्शन के दौरान दिल्ली पुलिस ने राहुल गांधी, कांग्रेस सांसद प्रियंका गांधी वाड्रा, समाजवादी पार्टी अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव सहित कई विपक्षी नेताओं को हिरासत में लिया था।
दोपहर लगभग 3:30 बजे शुरू हुए इस धरने में कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धारमैया, केरल के मुख्यमंत्री पिनराई विजयन तथा विभिन्न विपक्षी दलों के अन्य वरिष्ठ नेता भी शामिल हुए थे।
उधर, छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री विष्णुदेव साय ने भी कांग्रेस के प्रदर्शन की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री आवास के बाहर इस प्रकार का प्रदर्शन लोकतांत्रिक परंपराओं के अनुरूप नहीं था।
उन्होंने कहा कि विपक्ष के नेता जैसा संवैधानिक पद संभालने वाले व्यक्ति से अधिक जिम्मेदार और मर्यादित आचरण की अपेक्षा की जाती है।
NEET विवाद का उल्लेख करते हुए साय ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार ने परीक्षा में कथित अनियमितताओं के सामने आने के बाद त्वरित कार्रवाई की और दोषियों के खिलाफ सख्त कदम उठाए।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी स्वयं प्रश्नपत्र लीक को गंभीर अपराध बता चुके हैं और दोषियों को कठोर दंड दिलाने का आश्वासन दे चुके हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार परीक्षा प्रणाली में पारदर्शिता और विश्वसनीयता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि विद्यार्थियों के भविष्य को सुरक्षित रखने के उद्देश्य से पुनर्परीक्षा समय पर आयोजित की गई और उसके परिणाम भी शीघ्र घोषित कर दिए गए।
कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधते हुए विष्णुदेव साय ने आरोप लगाया कि पार्टी युवाओं को भ्रमित कर राजनीतिक लाभ लेने का प्रयास कर रही है।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री आवास जैसे उच्च सुरक्षा क्षेत्र के बाहर प्रदर्शन करना लोकतांत्रिक गरिमा और संवैधानिक मर्यादाओं के अनुरूप नहीं माना जा सकता।
उनके अनुसार लोकतांत्रिक संस्थाओं का सम्मान और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था का पालन हर राजनीतिक दल की प्राथमिक जिम्मेदारी होनी चाहिए।
