Pregnant Deepika Padukone Continues ‘Raaka’ Shoot, Balances Intense Action Sequences and Family Commitments
Mumbai: Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone, who is reportedly seven months pregnant with her second child with husband Ranveer Singh, is continuing work on director Atlee’s high-budget action film Raaka, headlined by Allu Arjun.
Despite her pregnancy, the actor is said to be filming physically demanding action scenes and working night schedules to ensure the project progresses as planned.
Although Deepika has previously spoken in favour of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and limiting work to an eight-hour day, members of the production team say she has gone the extra mile to complete her portions before taking maternity leave.
Her dedication has reportedly earned widespread appreciation from the film’s cast and crew.
A member of the production team, quoted by Variety India, said Deepika was determined to finish as much of the film as possible before stepping away for her maternity break.
According to the crew member, several action sequences required considerable physical effort, yet the actor completed them with remarkable professionalism.
The individual also noted that despite her hectic shooting schedule, Deepika continues to devote equal attention to her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
Designed as a large-scale pan-India entertainer, Raaka is being mounted with extensive visual effects and elaborate action sequences.
The film is expected to be one of the biggest theatrical releases planned for 2027, generating significant anticipation among cinema audiences.
Away from the film set, Deepika and Ranveer recently made time for a quiet outing in Mumbai.
The couple was seen enjoying lunch at a popular restaurant, where they reportedly relished South Indian cuisine.
Deepika opted for a comfortable maternity look featuring an oversized striped shirt paired with black trousers, while Ranveer chose a casual all-black outfit.
Photographs and videos from their appearance quickly spread across social media, drawing warm wishes from fans.
The couple welcomed their first child, Dua Padukone Singh, on September 8, 2024.
As they prepare to embrace parenthood once again, their latest public appearance has further delighted admirers who continue to follow their journey closely.

अल्लू अर्जुन अभिनीत इस बड़े बजट की फिल्म के लिए वह गर्भावस्था के बावजूद चुनौतीपूर्ण एक्शन दृश्यों और रात की शूटिंग में भी हिस्सा ले रही हैं, ताकि निर्धारित समय के भीतर अपना काम पूरा कर सकें।
दीपिका पहले भी संतुलित कार्य-जीवन और आठ घंटे के कार्यदिवस की वकालत करती रही हैं। इसके बावजूद फिल्म से जुड़े लोगों का कहना है कि उन्होंने मातृत्व अवकाश पर जाने से पहले अपनी शूटिंग पूरी करने के लिए अतिरिक्त मेहनत की है। उनकी कार्यनिष्ठा ने पूरी यूनिट को प्रभावित किया है।
वैरायटी इंडिया के हवाले से एक क्रू सदस्य ने बताया कि दीपिका की प्राथमिकता थी कि मातृत्व अवकाश से पहले फिल्म का अधिकतम हिस्सा पूरा कर लिया जाए।
उनके अनुसार, कई एक्शन दृश्य बेहद कठिन और शारीरिक रूप से थकाने वाले थे, लेकिन उन्होंने पूरे समर्पण के साथ उन्हें पूरा किया। क्रू सदस्य ने यह भी कहा कि व्यस्त शूटिंग के बावजूद दीपिका अपनी डेढ़ वर्ष की बेटी को भी पूरा समय और स्नेह देती हैं।
भव्य स्तर पर तैयार की जा रही ‘राका’ में अत्याधुनिक विजुअल इफेक्ट्स और बड़े पैमाने के एक्शन दृश्य शामिल हैं। पैन-इंडिया स्तर पर बनाई जा रही यह फिल्म 2027 की सबसे बहुप्रतीक्षित सिनेमाई रिलीज़ में से एक मानी जा रही है।
व्यस्त पेशेवर जीवन के बीच दीपिका और रणवीर ने हाल ही में मुंबई में कुछ सुकून भरे पल भी बिताए। दोनों को शहर के एक लोकप्रिय रेस्तरां से दोपहर का भोजन करने के बाद बाहर निकलते हुए देखा गया।
बताया गया कि उन्होंने दक्षिण भारतीय व्यंजनों का आनंद लिया।
इस दौरान दीपिका ने ओवरसाइज़ स्ट्राइप्ड शर्ट और काले ट्राउज़र के साथ सहज मैटरनिटी लुक अपनाया, जबकि रणवीर ऑल-ब्लैक कैज़ुअल परिधान में नजर आए।
