Pune Lohagad Fort Murder: Victim Ketan Agarwal’s Mother Appeals to PM Modi for Swift Justice, Says ‘Don’t Let My Son Become Just Another Case File’

A heart-wrenching appeal for justice has reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the mother of Ketan Agarwal, the young man whose death at Maharashtra’s Lohagad Fort was initially treated as an accidental fall but was later declared a premeditated murder during the police investigation.

Seeking the Prime Minister’s intervention, Rakhi Agarwal urged that the case be pursued with urgency and that those responsible receive the harshest punishment permitted under the law.

Investigators have alleged that Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, along with her alleged partner, Chetan Chaudhary, meticulously plotted the killing.

According to the Pune Rural Police, the duo allegedly pushed Ketan off a cliff at Lohagad Fort on June 18 after conspiring to eliminate him.

Both accused were arrested on June 23 following the investigation, which, police claim, uncovered evidence pointing to a carefully planned murder.

Pouring out her grief in an email sent to the Prime Minister two days ago, Rakhi Agarwal wrote that she had never imagined she would one day have to seek justice for her own child.

Recalling the dreams every parent cherishes, she said she had hoped to see Ketan married, settled, and living a happy life with his family.

Instead, she found herself performing the final rites of her son. Describing the tragedy as the greatest sorrow a mother can endure, she said Ketan’s murder had shattered her entire world.

Expressing the depth of her family’s suffering, Rakhi said every object in their home now serves as a painful reminder of her son.

His room, clothes, photographs,s and the silence left behind in place of his laughter have turned daily life into an unbearable ordeal.

She also revealed that the family suffered another devastating blow when her father-in-law passed away just 20 days after Ketan’s death.

Deeply attached to his grandson, he could not overcome the shock and grief. Within weeks, the family lost two generations, she wrote.

In her emotional message, Rakhi made it clear that she was not seeking sympathy or special treatment. She said her only demand was justice for her son.

Every passing day without accountability, she wrote, only deepens the family’s pain. Although Ketan can never be brought back, she insisted that those responsible for taking his life must face the strongest punishment prescribed by law.

Appealing directly to the Prime Minister, Rakhi requested that the case receive the attention it deserves and that legal proceedings move forward without avoidable delays.

She pleaded that Ketan should not fade into the system as merely another file. To the world, she wrote, he may have been a son, grandson, and brother, but to her, he was her entire universe.

Ending her letter on an emotional note, Rakhi said she still speaks to her son’s photograph every night, assuring him that his mother continues to fight for justice.

She expressed hope that one day she would be able to tell him that justice had finally been delivered, while praying that the Prime Minister would hear the voice of a grieving mother.

According to the police investigation, Siya Goyal became engaged to Ketan on February 19, and their wedding was scheduled for later this year.

However, investigators claim she had been in a relationship with Chetan Chaudhary since October last year and was unwilling to marry Ketan, a circumstance that allegedly led to the conspiracy.

Following ten days of police custody, a local court remanded Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary to 14 days of judicial custody. Both are presently lodged in prison as the investigation and subsequent legal proceedings continue.

महाराष्ट्र के चर्चित लोहगढ़ किला हत्याकांड में मृतक केतन अग्रवाल की मां ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से न्याय की भावुक अपील की है। शुरुआत में जिस घटना को दुर्घटनावश खाई में गिरने का मामला माना गया था, पुलिस जांच में उसे सुनियोजित हत्या करार दिया गया।

अपने पत्र में राखी अग्रवाल ने प्रधानमंत्री से अनुरोध किया कि मामले की निष्पक्ष और त्वरित सुनवाई सुनिश्चित की जाए तथा दोषियों को कानून के तहत सबसे कठोर दंड दिलाया जाए।

पुणे ग्रामीण पुलिस के अनुसार, केतन की मंगेतर सिया गोयल और उसके कथित प्रेमी चेतन चौधरी ने मिलकर हत्या की साजिश रची थी।

जांच में सामने आया कि 18 जून को दोनों ने कथित रूप से लोहगढ़ किले की ऊंची चट्टान से केतन को धक्का देकर उसकी जान ले ली। पुलिस ने जांच के बाद 23 जून को दोनों आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

प्रधानमंत्री को दो दिन पहले भेजे गए अपने ई-मेल में राखी अग्रवाल ने लिखा कि उन्होंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि उन्हें अपने ही बेटे के लिए न्याय की गुहार लगानी पड़ेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि हर मां की तरह उनका भी सपना था कि केतन विवाह करे, अपना परिवार बसाए और खुशहाल जीवन जिए।

लेकिन नियति ने उनसे उनका बेटा छीन लिया और उन्हें उसकी अंतिम विदाई देनी पड़ी। उन्होंने लिखा कि एक मां के लिए अपने बेटे की चिता को अग्नि देना संसार का सबसे बड़ा दुख है और केतन की हत्या ने उनका पूरा जीवन उजाड़ दिया।

अपने दर्द को शब्द देते हुए राखी ने लिखा कि घर का हर कोना आज भी केतन की यादों से भरा है। उसका कमरा, उसके कपड़े, उसकी तस्वीरें और उसकी हंसी की जगह पसरा सन्नाटा हर दिन यह एहसास कराता है कि वह अब कभी लौटकर नहीं आएगा।

उन्होंने बताया कि परिवार पर दुखों का पहाड़ तब और टूट पड़ा जब केतन की मौत के महज 20 दिन बाद उनके ससुर का भी निधन हो गया।

वह अपने पोते से बेहद स्नेह करते थे और उसके बिछड़ने का सदमा सह नहीं सके। कुछ ही दिनों के भीतर परिवार ने दो पीढ़ियों को खो दिया।

अपने पत्र में उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि उन्हें किसी प्रकार की सहानुभूति या विशेष रियायत नहीं चाहिए। उनकी केवल एक ही मांग है—केतन को न्याय मिले।

उन्होंने लिखा कि न्याय मिलने में हो रही हर देरी उनके परिवार के घावों को और गहरा कर रही है। उनका बेटा वापस नहीं आ सकता, लेकिन उसकी हत्या करने वालों को कानून के अनुसार सबसे कठोर सजा अवश्य मिलनी चाहिए।

प्रधानमंत्री से सीधे अपील करते हुए राखी अग्रवाल ने अनुरोध किया कि इस मामले को गंभीरता से लिया जाए और न्यायिक प्रक्रिया में अनावश्यक विलंब न होने दिया जाए।

उन्होंने भावुक शब्दों में कहा कि उनके बेटे का मामला महज सरकारी फाइलों में दबकर न रह जाए। दुनिया के लिए वह किसी का बेटा, पोता और भाई था, लेकिन उनके लिए वही उनका पूरा संसार था।

अपने पत्र के अंत में उन्होंने लिखा कि वह आज भी हर रात अपने बेटे की तस्वीर के सामने बैठकर उससे कहती हैं कि उसकी मां अभी भी उसके लिए न्याय की लड़ाई लड़ रही है।

उन्होंने आशा जताई कि एक दिन वह अपने बेटे से यह कह सकेंगी कि आखिरकार उसे न्याय मिल गया है। साथ ही उन्होंने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि प्रधानमंत्री एक शोकाकुल मां की पुकार अवश्य सुनेंगे।

पुलिस के अनुसार, सिया गोयल और केतन अग्रवाल की सगाई 19 फरवरी को हुई थी और दोनों का विवाह इसी वर्ष होने वाला था।

हालांकि जांच में दावा किया गया है कि सिया पिछले वर्ष अक्टूबर से चेतन चौधरी के साथ संबंध में थी और केतन से विवाह नहीं करना चाहती थी। पुलिस का आरोप है कि यही परिस्थिति कथित साजिश की वजह बनी।

दस दिन की पुलिस हिरासत पूरी होने के बाद स्थानीय अदालत ने सिया गोयल और चेतन चौधरी को 14 दिन की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया। दोनों फिलहाल जेल में बंद हैं और मामले की जांच तथा न्यायिक प्रक्रिया जारी हैं।
