Ayodhya: Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra on Saturday described the alleged theft and misuse of donations at the Ram Temple as a deeply unfortunate episode, saying the incident had caused immense embarrassment to everyone associated with the shrine.

He expressed confidence that corrective measures would strengthen the temple’s administrative system and prevent any recurrence.

Speaking to reporters on the second day of the monthly construction review meeting in Ayodhya, Misra said the alleged financial irregularities had hurt the sentiments of all those connected with the temple.

Referring to the Trust’s treasurer, Swami Govind Dev Giri, he said the episode had rightly been described as a “stigma” because it occurred at one of the country’s most revered places of worship.

“This is an incident that pains every one of us. It is not merely a matter of regret; it is something that makes all of us feel diminished. Such an occurrence at the Ram Temple is deeply distressing,” Misra said.

Administrative Reforms Expected After Incident

Emphasising that the issue related to institutional management rather than the temple’s spiritual character, Misra said he had complete faith that administrative systems would be strengthened.

He expressed confidence that tighter monitoring and improved procedures would ensure that similar incidents do not happen again.

When asked about the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for managing temple affairs, Misra clarified that the proposal was not his personal recommendation.

He explained that a committee headed by a retired judge had already been constituted to identify a suitable candidate for the post.

Earlier, Misra had advocated a detailed investigation into the alleged misappropriation of donations and suggested that the temple administration should be entrusted to an experienced retired civil servant to enhance accountability and operational efficiency.

Temple Construction Nearing Final Phase

Misra reached Ayodhya on Friday to preside over the monthly review meeting of agencies engaged in the Ram Temple project.

Representatives from Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Engineers India Limited (EIL) participated in the discussions on the progress of the remaining works.

He said only a few important components of the overall project are yet to be completed. One of them is the memorial at the site of the former temporary Ram Lalla temple, where arrangements for the eternal ceremonial flame are still under development.

Another memorial structure is also nearing completion and is expected to be finished by the end of July, he added.

According to Misra, the principal construction work of the Ram Temple is likely to be completed by July 30.

Boundary Wall, Auditorium, and Ram Katha Museum Still Under Development

While the core temple structure is nearing completion, work on certain auxiliary facilities will continue for several more months.

Misra said construction of the nearly four-kilometre-long boundary wall remains in progress, while the auditorium being developed outside the main temple complex is expected to be completed around November or December.

He also reviewed plans for the Ram Katha Museum, which will feature 20 thematic galleries narrating the story of Lord Ram.

The narrative framework for all galleries has already been finalised, and discussions are now focused on selecting advanced digital and multimedia technologies to enhance the visitor experience.

Final decisions on these installations are expected during the ongoing meetings.

अयोध्या: राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर निर्माण समिति के अध्यक्ष नृपेंद्र मिश्रा ने शनिवार को राम मंदिर में दान राशि की कथित चोरी और गबन के मामले को अत्यंत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताते हुए कहा कि इस घटना ने मंदिर से जुड़े प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को भीतर तक आहत किया है।

उन्होंने भरोसा जताया कि प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था को और मजबूत बनाया जाएगा ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति न हो।

निर्माण समिति की मासिक समीक्षा बैठक के दूसरे दिन पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए मिश्रा ने कहा कि मंदिर जैसे पवित्र स्थल पर इस प्रकार के आरोप पूरे समाज के लिए चिंता और आत्ममंथन का विषय हैं।

उन्होंने ट्रस्ट के कोषाध्यक्ष स्वामी गोविंद देव गिरि की टिप्पणी का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि इस घटना को “कलंक” कहा जाना उचित है।

उन्होंने कहा, “राम मंदिर में ऐसी घटना होना हम सभी के लिए अत्यंत दुखद है। केवल अफसोस ही नहीं, बल्कि हम सभी स्वयं को इस कारण छोटा महसूस कर रहे हैं। यह ऐसा प्रसंग है जिसे कोई भी दोबारा नहीं देखना चाहेगा।”

व्यवस्था में सुधार का भरोसा, दोबारा नहीं दोहराई जाएगी ऐसी घटना

नृपेंद्र मिश्रा ने स्पष्ट किया कि यह मामला मंदिर की आस्था का नहीं, बल्कि प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था का है। उन्होंने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि प्रबंधन प्रणाली को और अधिक पारदर्शी तथा प्रभावी बनाया जाएगा, जिससे भविष्य में इस प्रकार की किसी भी अनियमितता की संभावना समाप्त हो सके।

मंदिर के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (सीईओ) की नियुक्ति के संबंध में पूछे गए प्रश्न पर उन्होंने कहा कि यह उनका व्यक्तिगत सुझाव नहीं था। उन्होंने बताया कि इस पद के लिए चयन प्रक्रिया संचालित करने हेतु एक सेवानिवृत्त न्यायाधीश की अध्यक्षता में समिति पहले ही गठित की जा चुकी है।

इससे पहले मिश्रा कथित दान गड़बड़ी की विस्तृत जांच की आवश्यकता पर जोर देते हुए यह सुझाव दे चुके हैं कि मंदिर प्रशासन को अधिक प्रभावी बनाने के लिए किसी अनुभवी सेवानिवृत्त वरिष्ठ प्रशासनिक अधिकारी को सीईओ नियुक्त किया जाना चाहिए।

निर्माण कार्य अंतिम चरण में, 30 जुलाई तक मुख्य परियोजना पूरी होने का दावा

नृपेंद्र मिश्रा शुक्रवार को अयोध्या पहुंचे थे, जहां उन्होंने राम मंदिर परियोजना से जुड़ी विभिन्न निर्माण एजेंसियों के साथ मासिक समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। बैठक में एल एंड टी, उत्तर प्रदेश राजकीय निर्माण निगम, टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज (टीसीएस) तथा इंजीनियर्स इंडिया लिमिटेड (ईआईएल) के प्रतिनिधियों ने भाग लिया।

उन्होंने बताया कि अब परियोजना के केवल कुछ महत्वपूर्ण कार्य शेष हैं। इनमें अस्थायी रामलला मंदिर स्थल पर बनाए जा रहे स्मारक का निर्माण प्रमुख है, जहां अखंड ज्योति की स्थायी व्यवस्था अभी पूरी की जानी है।

इसके अतिरिक्त एक अन्य स्मारक का निर्माण भी अंतिम चरण में है और उसके जुलाई के अंत तक पूरा होने की संभावना है।

मिश्रा ने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि 30 जुलाई तक राम मंदिर के मुख्य निर्माण कार्य को पूरा कर लिया जाएगा।

सीमा दीवार, ऑडिटोरियम और राम कथा संग्रहालय पर काम रहेगा जारी

उन्होंने बताया कि मंदिर परिसर की लगभग चार किलोमीटर लंबी परिधि दीवार का निर्माण अभी जारी रहेगा। वहीं मुख्य परिसर के बाहर विकसित किए जा रहे आधुनिक ऑडिटोरियम का कार्य नवंबर-दिसंबर तक पूरा होने की उम्मीद है।

राम कथा संग्रहालय की प्रगति पर जानकारी देते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि इसमें 20 विषय आधारित दीर्घाएं (गैलरी) विकसित की जा रही हैं।

सभी गैलरियों की विषयवस्तु तय की जा चुकी है और अब उनमें आधुनिक डिजिटल तकनीक, ऑडियो-विजुअल प्रस्तुति तथा इंटरैक्टिव माध्यमों के उपयोग पर अंतिम निर्णय लिया जाएगा। इस विषय पर निर्माण समिति की वर्तमान बैठक में विस्तृत चर्चा की जा रही है।
