Dance Choreographer Saroj Khan, the legend was the first recipient of the Filmfare Award for Best Choreography. Filmfare instituted this award after watching the excellent choreography and audience response to Saroj Khan’s song “Ek Do Teen” from Tezaab.
Saroj Khan went on to have a hattrick at the Filmfare Awards winning consistently for 3 years from 1989 to 1991.
Megastar Salman Khan, Beauty Queen Aishwarya Rai, Superstar Ajay Devgn’s film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam became a huge success, thanks in part to its captivating love triangle and a collection of popular songs choreographed by Saroj Khan. One standout track is “Nimbooda Nimbooda,” featuring Aishwarya’s remarkable dance performance, which continues to be adored by audiences today.
In a nostalgic throwback video, choreographer Saroj Khan, the legend praised Aishwarya’s dedication and hard work during the preparation for the dance sequence.
An old video of one of Saroj Khan’s interviews has been doing rounds in social media. In the clip, Saroj Khan discussed Aishwarya’s dedication to mastering the choreography for the “Nimbooda” song, commending her hard work and commitment. She said, “Even Nimbooda took quite a look of time to learn and her feet, her knees everything was bruised. But she didn’t complain a single time.”
Aishwarya Rai won the Miss World 1994 pageant and later established herself as one of the most popular and influential celebrities in India. She has received numerous accolades for her acting, including two Filmfare Awards.
In 2004, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
