St Columbus Group of Schools Holds Vedic Maths Examination Across Six Prayagraj Branches
Teachers from six campuses took part in the examination, followed by a specialised training session on key Vedic Mathematics techniques for primary classes.

Prayagraj: The St Columbus Group of Schools organised a Vedic Mathematics examination for teachers representing its six branches, bringing together educators for an academic exercise focused on strengthening teaching skills in faster mathematical calculation methods.
The examination, conducted on Tuesday, saw participation from teachers of the Baily, Rajapur, Hanumanganj, Naini, Salori and Jhusi branches.
Several faculty members, including Sandhya Tripathi, Tanay, Shivam Rai, Jitendra Yadav, Pooja, Supriya, Meenakshi and Guddi, were among those who took part.
Following the examination, the participating teachers attended a training session led by Shri Rajnish Chaturvedi, a teacher at Jwala Devi Inter College and Prant Sanyojak of Vedic Ganit, Prayagraj.
The session focused on preparing teachers to introduce Vedic Mathematics concepts effectively to students of Classes 1 to 5.
Participants were trained in techniques such as the Rule of 2, Rule of 11, Nikhilam Sutra and Urdhva Tiryak Sutra.
During the programme, Chaturvedi explained the wider framework of Vedic Mathematics, referring to its 13 principal Sutras and 16 Upasutras.
He demonstrated how these methods can help simplify complex numerical calculations and improve speed and accuracy.
Principal Captain Shyam Narayan Dubey inspected the programme and appreciated the initiative.
He said the school group had taken an important step towards introducing Vedic Mathematics into the educational environment of the city.
“Our school is the first school in Prayagraj where Vedic Mathematics classes have been started,” he said.
The programme was also attended by Shri Gopal Dua, Administrative Officer of the St Columbus Group of Schools, whose presence added to the significance of the academic event.
The initiative reflects the school group’s effort to equip its teachers with additional mathematical teaching methods and bring calculation-based learning techniques into the classroom at an early stage.

सेंट कोलंबस ग्रुप ऑफ स्कूल्स ने अपनी छह शाखाओं के शिक्षकों के लिए मंगलवार को वैदिक गणित परीक्षा का सफल आयोजन किया।
कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य शिक्षकों को वैदिक गणित की तकनीकों से अधिक दक्ष बनाना और प्राथमिक स्तर की कक्षाओं में इन विधियों के प्रभावी शिक्षण को मजबूत करना रहा।
परीक्षा में बेली, राजापुर, हनुमानगंज, नैनी, सलोरी और झूंसी शाखाओं के शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया।
कार्यक्रम में संध्या त्रिपाठी, तनय सर, शिवम राय, जितेंद्र यादव, पूजा, सुप्रिया, मीनाक्षी, गुड्डी सहित अन्य शिक्षकों की सहभागिता रही।
परीक्षा के बाद शिक्षकों के लिए वैदिक गणित पर विशेष प्रशिक्षण सत्र आयोजित किया गया। यह प्रशिक्षण ज्वाला देवी इंटर कॉलेज के शिक्षक एवं वैदिक गणित प्रयागराज के प्रांत संयोजक श्री रजनीश चतुर्वेदी ने दिया।
प्रशिक्षण के दौरान कक्षा 1 से 5 तक के विद्यार्थियों को वैदिक गणित पढ़ाने की विधियों पर विशेष ध्यान दिया गया। शिक्षकों को 2 का नियम, 11 का नियम, निखिलम सूत्र और ऊर्ध्व तिर्यक सूत्र जैसी प्रमुख तकनीकों से परिचित कराया गया।
श्री चतुर्वेदी ने बताया कि वैदिक गणित में 13 प्रमुख सूत्र और 16 उपसूत्र शामिल हैं, जिनके माध्यम से जटिल गणनाओं को अपेक्षाकृत सरल और तेज तरीके से हल किया जा सकता है।
उन्होंने इन विधियों के शैक्षणिक उपयोग और विद्यार्थियों में गणना कौशल विकसित करने के महत्व पर भी प्रकाश डाला।
कार्यक्रम का निरीक्षण प्रधानाचार्य कैप्टन श्याम नारायण दुबे ने किया। उन्होंने इस पहल की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि प्रयागराज में वैदिक गणित की कक्षाएं शुरू करने की दिशा में विद्यालय ने एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि सेंट कोलंबस स्कूल प्रयागराज का पहला विद्यालय है, जहां वैदिक गणित की कक्षाएं शुरू की गई हैं।
इस अवसर पर सेंट कोलंबस ग्रुप के प्रशासनिक अधिकारी श्री गोपाल दुआ भी विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे।
कार्यक्रम ने शिक्षकों को वैदिक गणित की विभिन्न तकनीकों का व्यावहारिक ज्ञान प्रदान करने के साथ-साथ भविष्य में विद्यार्थियों तक इन विधियों को व्यवस्थित रूप से पहुंचाने की दिशा में एक उपयोगी मंच उपलब्ध कराया।
