Instead, they did what many Biharis away from home often do — they closed their eyes and went back to the narrow lanes of their childhood.
The episode, which has since gone viral on social media, saw the two seasoned performers reminiscing about the days they spent growing up in Bihar.
Manoj Bajpayee, known for his intense roles in films such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Aligarh’, spoke with a rare, unguarded nostalgia.
“I feel like getting lost again in those very lanes,” he said. “I want to go back and eat phuchka from that same street.”
Shekhar Suman, who has hosted the show for multiple seasons, matched Bajpayee’s sentiment with equal warmth.
The two actors, both proud of their Bihari roots, spoke about the simple pleasures of their formative years — things that fame and busy schedules have pushed to distant memory.
Among the cravings they listed was a local beverage called ‘ketaari ka juice’, a drink that seems to have stayed with them long after they left their hometowns.
